The Dodgers informed Adams on Thursday that he would not make the Opening Day roster, and it sounds like instead of reporting to Triple-A, the 36-year-old right-hander may just call it a career. Over the course of 10 major league seasons, Adams has posted a 2.41 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 3.25 K/BB. He had a 2.89 ERA and 1.29 WHIP in 22 appearances with the Phillies last season.

Adams will begin his season with Triple-A Oklahoma City, Eric Stephen of True Blue LA reports. A non-roster invitee to spring training, Adams will hope to work his way up to the big-league bullpen. Even if he eventually gets there, he'll likely be limited to working as a middle reliever.
