Gallardo (8-8) pitched 4.1 innings and took the loss Sunday, allowing three runs on six hits and a walk while striking out three in the loss to Seattle.
EDGE Analysis
The 2018 season couldn't have ended soon enough for Gallardo, who registered an abysmal 6.39 ERA and 58:47 K:BB across 94.1 innings this year. The 32-year-old ended the year on a five-start losing streak, allowing 19 runs in 21 innings during that span.

Gallardo (8-7) took the loss Tuesday, allowing two runs on three hits and three walks while striking out two over 5.1 innings against the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Gallardo was dealing through the first five frames, but he was ultimately on the hook for the loss after seeing the bullpen allow both of his inherited runners to come around to score in the sixth inning. While it was the first time in over a month the 32-year-old allowed fewer than three runs in a start, he's still taken the loss in four straight starts and now sports a bloated 6.40 ERA and middling 55:46 K:BB over 90 innings. He'll face Seattle in the regular season finale Sunday.

Gallardo (8-6) allowed three runs on eight hits in a loss to the Rays on Tuesday, recording three strikeouts and three walks in five innings.
EDGE Analysis
Gallardo had the unfortunate position of being matched-up against Blake Snell on Tuesday, and he threw three scoreless innings before giving up a three-spot in the fourth, but the Rangers couldn't get anything going against Snell and the Rays bullpen. In 19 appearances (16 starts) this season Gallardo has a 6.59 ERA and a 1.67 WHIP to go with a rather poor 53:43 K:BB in 84.2 innings. He's slated to take on the Angels in his next start in Los Angeles.

Gallardo (8-5) allowed six runs on six hits and one walk while striking out four over three innings and was tagged with the loss to the Angels on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Four of the six hits allowed went for extra bases, including a two-run home run by rookie Jose Fernandez, which essentially ended Gallardo's night. Remember when Gallardo was 7-1 over his first nine starts in a Rangers uniform? That start was fueled by unsustainable run support, and his results have gone in the opposite direction since. He's lost four of his last five decisions and resembles very much a pitcher with a 5.94 ERA. He's next scheduled to face Tampa Bay at home Tuesday.

Gallardo (7-3) pitched five innings Sunday, allowing three runs on four hits and three walks in the 3-1 loss to the Giants. He struck out three and took the loss.
EDGE Analysis
Gallardo wasn't at his best, but his offense didn't do him any favors either. The 32-year-old now owns an unsightly 6.01 ERA despite his 7-3 record after dropping two of his last three outings. Gallardo will carry a 42:33 K:BB into next Sunday's start against the Twins.

Gallardo allowed two runs on six hits and one walk while striking out six over six innings in a no-decision against the Angels on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Gallardo was as good as he's been in any outing this season, but didn't get the run support that typically shows up for him. He entered the game with a 10.65 run support average in his starts since June 23 -- the highest in the majors during that span. His next start depends on a few factors: the health of Bartolo Colon (back) and Mike Minor (back), whether manager Jeff Banister plans on sticking with the six-man rotation, and how the manager wants to use Thursday's off-day. Gallardo is expected to pitch one of the weekend games in San Francisco.

Gallardo will start Sunday's game against the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
The Rangers initially intended to start Bartolo Colon in the series finale, but those plans were scrapped after the latter experienced back stiffness. Since the Rangers have been running out a six-man rotation lately, Gallardo will be available to take the hill on four days' rest, which likely means that he won't face any restrictions with his pitch count.

Gallardo (7-1) picked up the win Wednesday against the Mariners, allowing two runs on three hits and three walks through six innings. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
It was a nice bounce-back effort from Gallardo after the veteran allowed five runs in 5.1 innings his last time out (though he still picked up the win). The 32-year-old now owns a solid 2.78 ERA across his last four outings, all of which have been victories. He's still walking too many hitters -- evidenced by his 5.16 BB/9 over that four-start stretch -- so it wouldn't be surprising to see him regress towards his season ERA (6.11) moving forward. His next outing will come Tuesday against the Diamondbacks.

Gallardo (6-1) allowed five earned runs on nine hits and two walks while striking out four across 5.1 innings to earn the win Thursday against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Gallardo received tremendous run support -- the Rangers scored 10 runs in the first two innings -- and benefited by winning his sixth game of the season. That was the biggest highlight of his line as he surrendered two two-run home runs that proved to be most of the damage against him. Gallardo has allowed multiple walks in six of his eight starts this season, which has been a big factor in his 6.51 ERA and 1.62 WHIP across 47 innings.

Gallardo (4-1) tossed six scoreless innings Sunday, yielding four walks and three hits while striking out one in the 5-0 win over Cleveland.
EDGE Analysis
It was Gallardo's first start of the year where he allowed less than three earned runs, but the Rangers are now 5-1 in his starts. Prior to Sunday's scoreless performance, Gallardo had given up 21 earned runs in just 28 innings since being acquired by Texas. The 32-year-old still owns an ugly 7.18 ERA and 21:17 K:BB in 36.1 innings. Gallardo will see a tough matchup in Houston on Friday.
