Gallardo gave up two runs on five hits -- including two home runs -- and two walks while striking out two over three innings in a no-decision against the A's on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The 31-year-old needed 80 pitches to record nine outs. He one again gave up multiple home runs -- he's served up multiple homers in five of his last eight outings -- lifting his ERA to 5.79. That would rank as the third-worst mark among starters if Gallardo had enough innings to qualify (he spent a couple weeks in the bullpen in June). Assuming he stays in the rotation, Gallardo will face the Angels his next time out.

Gallardo (5-9) allowed three runs on five hits and three walks over 6.1 innings in Sunday's loss to the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Gallardo's season-long struggles continued Sunday, as two of the five hits he gave up were home runs. Coming off Sunday's outing, his ERA is now sitting at 5.75. Hard times could continue for Gallardo, as his next start is set to come Saturday in New York against a hard-hitting Yankees club.

Gallardo (5-8) served up eight runs on nine hits and a walk with four strikeouts over four innings in taking the loss Monday against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Gallardo has now failed to complete five innings in consecutive starts and hasn't completed the sixth since June 12 against Minnesota, a 10-start stretch. He had a decent 3.96 ERA in that stretch, but just a 22:16 K:BB. The floodgates finally opened Monday night, as Gallardo got touched up for a pair of home runs, including a Manny Machado grand slam. Gallardo's ERA is now a lofty 5.84 following the disaster.

Gallardo allowed three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out three over 4.1 innings in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the A's.
EDGE Analysis
Despite carrying a 6-2 lead into the bottom of the fifth inning, Gallardo ran his pitch count up to 94 (55 strikes) before an RBI double by Jed Lowrie chased him from the game and denied him the win. The veteran righty hasn't completed six innings in a start since mid-June, making him a risky fantasy play heading into Monday's home start against the Orioles.

Gallardo (5-7) gave up three runs on three hits and three walks over five inning during Thursday's loss to the Royals. He struck out one and did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Gallardo did well pitching to soft contact in the first four frames, but had his luck run out in the fifth inning as he served up a two-run blast to Brandon Moss. The 31-year-old was able to retire the next three batters but was then lifted from the game after five innings pitched. Gallardo will look to pick up his first quality start since June 12 when he takes on the Athletics next Wednesday.

Gallardo (5-7) allowed one run on five hits and two walks while striking out two across 5.2 innings to earn the win Saturday against the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Gallardo held the Mets scoreless through five innings, and he outdueled Jacob deGrom to earn his fifth victory of the campaign. Although he's spent time in both the Mariners' rotation and bullpen, his 5.34 ERA and 1.47 WHIP make him a difficult pitcher to trust in fantasy lineups. He'll make his next start Thursday against the Royals.

Gallardo navigated five innings in Sunday's loss to the Yankees, allowing three runs on five hits and three walks while striking out in five. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
All three of the runs Gallardo surrendered came via the longball, as Brett Gardner hit a solo shot in the first and Didi Gregorius hit a pair of solo home runs himself. Outside of that, the right-hander managed to get in and out of trouble all game, allowing baserunners in three of his five innings. Despite this, he had himself in line for the victory, but the bullpen gave up the lead immediately after his departure. Gallardo lines up to make his next start Saturday against the Mets.

Gallardo will start Sunday's game against the Yankees, Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gallardo has thrived since moving to the bullpen, but with a spot starter necessary for Sunday's contest, the Mariners will trot the right-hander back into the rotation for the time being. He projects to take his 5.59 ERA into a matchup with Yankees' righty Luis Cessa.

Gallardo (4-7) fired a scoreless ninth inning in Monday's 9-7 extra-inning win over the Astros, allowing a hit and issuing two walks.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran right-hander continues to thrive out of the bullpen, as he's given up just one earned run over 11.1 relief innings across four appearances. Monday's outing was the first in which Gallardo hasn't been deployed in a multi-inning capacity, although he likely would have been sent out again in the 10th had the game still been tied. Instead, he gave way to closer Edwin Diaz and was credited with his first win as a reliever.

Gallardo fired four scoreless innings in Thursday's 7-4 loss to the Athletics, allowing just one hit and two walks while recording four strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran right-hander has now generated the equivalent of a quality start -- seven innings, one earned run, two hits, two walks and seven strikeouts -- while working as a long reliever in two appearances over the last three days. Gallardo has adapted flawlessly to his new role after mostly flaming out as a starter, and even with the makeshift and inconsistent nature of the Seattle starting rotation, it appears that the 31-year-old is firmly entrenched in the bullpen going forward.
