Lincecum (hip) will make one more start with Triple-A Salt Lake on Sunday before presumably joining the major league rotation, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
There was some speculation that Lincecum could make his return to the big leagues Sunday, but he wanted to get one more minor league start under his belt in order to knock off a little more rust. This puts him in line to start June 18 when the Angels head to Oakland. David Huff will likely take another turn in the rotation while Lincecum readies himself for his 2016 debut.

Lincecum (hip) is tentatively targeting a June 12 for his Angels debut, the Orange County Register's Jeff Fletcher reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lincecum, who signed with the Angels earlier in May, tossed a five-inning outing at extended spring training a few days earlier, marking his first competitive outing in almost a year. By all accounts, the right-hander fared well during the session, and he's now preparing to test himself out during a rehab assignment at Triple-A Salt Lake. He'll make his first of multiple starts with Salt Lake on Thursday, and if all goes according to plan, we should see him in the Angels rotation by mid-June.

Lincecum (hip) threw a simulated game Monday and will have one more before embarking on a rehab assignment in Salt Lake, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Given the duration of his absence from a big league rotation, it's reasonable to think that Lincecum will require several starts in the Pacific Coast League before he's completely stretched out and ready to help the Angels' injury-ravaged rotation in the coming weeks.

Lincecum (hip) will throw a simulated game in Arizona before the Angels determine his next step, Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lincecum could be sent to Triple-A Salt Lake after the simulation in order to receive a couple starts, but no official plan has been released yet. General manager Billy Eppler said earlier in the week that he anticipates Lincecum will be ready to return to the big leagues by the middle of June.

Angels general manager Billy Eppler said he expects Lincecum to join the big league club in mid June, Pedro Moura of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Specifically, Eppler anticipated that Lincecum would be up in the range of June 9-19, as he works himself into form with Triple-A Salt Lake. It is a little telling that Lincecum was forced to join forces with the team whose rotation is perhaps the most decimated in baseball. It will be worth monitoring how he does at Triple-A, particularly if his fastball velocity is recorded in the low-90s, which would suggest he may have something left in the tank.

Lincecum passed his physical Thursday and his deal with the Angels is now complete, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Now that Lincecum's physical has been completed, Heyman reports that his contract with the Angels is worth $2.5 million. He figures to head to the Angels' Triple-A affiliate for the time being while he stretches out his pitch count. Once he's ready, he'll be a welcome addition to a Angels rotation that has been decimated by the losses of Andrew Heaney, C.J Wilson, and Garrett Richards.

Lincecum (hip) will undergo a physical Thursday and will sign with the Angels if he passes, Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lincecum has been working on this deal with the Angels since Monday, but it seems that they've finally got the details of the contract solidified, only leaving the physical to separate the right-hander and professional baseball. If he passes, he'll likely head to the Angels Triple-A affiliate in Salt Lake City to build up some innings and then could get a chance as a starter with the injury-depleted Angels.

Lincecum (hip) is closing in on a deal with the Angels, Jeff Passan of Yahoo! Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Several teams were present for Lincecum's throwing session in Arizona recently, as he looks to return from surgery to correct a degenerative hip problem. Given the Angels' rash of injuries in the rotation, Lincecum would have a clear path to a rotation spot if the two sides finalize an agreement. It's believed that he'll need at least four weeks upon signing to become game ready as a big league starter again.

Lincecum (hip) has not yet thrown a showcase for teams, and it is unclear when that will take place, or how his rehab his going, the San Francisco Chronicle's Ann Killion reports.
EDGE Analysis
Multiple showcases have been rumored over the past couple months, as the free agent presumably intends on catching on with a team this season, but he has remained off the radar. His recovery from hip surgery was supposed to be complete in February, but that could be dragging on, and Lincecum is known as a perfectionist, so he may be delaying a showcase until he feels just right. Until he actually throws for teams, it's hard to pay him much mind in fantasy.

Lincecum is scheduled to throw in a showcase in Phoenix within the next couple weeks, Dennis Lin of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lincecum has been throwing daily lately after undergoing hip surgery in September. The showcase was originally scheduled for mid-January, but has been moved back multiple times. The Padres are reportedly "very active" in their pursuit of the right-hander, but all 30 teams could be present at the showcase, which could complicate matters. His destination will probably become much clearer once he pitches in front of the teams, as they will be able to better assess how well he's healed and how good his arsenal still is.
