Hardy (foot) will begin a rehab assignment Tuesday at Double-A Bowie, Eduardo A. Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
The O's still haven't provided a return date for Hardy, but it's reasonable to think that he may need as long as one week to get back into the swing of things during a rehab assignment before he's ready to rejoin the Baltimore lineup.

Hardy (foot) took batting practice and participated in fielding drills at the Orioles' spring training complex Thursday, Eduardo Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hardy took another step in the right direction Thursday by ramping up the level of intensity in his baseball activities. However, there is still no update to Hardy's return timeline despite his increased work Thursday. If Hardy continues to make progress over the weekend, the Orioles will likely map out a rehab assignment for the veteran shortstop.

Hardy (foot) took ground balls Monday, Roch Kubatko of MASN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hardy continues to progress incrementally, but he won't return to Baltimore until he's cleared to participate in full baseball activities. When that time will come remains to be seen, so it's difficult to gauge when Hardy, who is dealing with a hairline fracture in his foot, could rejoin the major league lineup.

Hardy (foot) played catch from 90 feet Saturday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hardy was able to put some pressure on his foot during the catch session, but still has a ways to go before the Orioles activate him from a DL. Since Hardy has been sidelined for more than a month with the hairline fracture in his foot, he'll require a multi-game rehab assignment in the minors once he's resumed taking batting practice and doing full fielding drills.

Hardy (foot) will undergo a CT scan Friday, Eduardo Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
If the results of the scan show that Hardy's foot has fully healed, he'll be cleared to resume baseball activities. The shortstop has already had the boot removed from his left foot, so it seems that he's progressed as expected so far.

Hardy (foot) has yet to begin doing weight-bearing exercises during his rehab program, Brittany Ghiroli of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
According to Ghiroli, Hardy is still dealing with some soreness in the foot that he fractured in early May. He began doing some non-baseball-related workouts this week, but the Orioles are waiting for the soreness in Hardy's foot to subside before ramping up his activity. Manny Machado will continue to start at shortstop for the Orioles in his absence.

Hardy (foot) will begin non-baseball related workouts Monday, MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is the first step for Hardy, who has been out since May 1 with a fracture. He will eventually join the team in Baltimore next week and a rehab assignment could come soon after that. In the meantime, most of Hardy's at-bats are going to Ryan Flaherty while Manny Machado has stepped in at shortstop.

Hardy (foot) is nearly healed as he heads to extended spring training, MLB.com's Brittany Ghiroli reports.
EDGE Analysis
A recent X-ray revealed significant improvement with the hairline fracture in Hardy's foot. He'll still need to spend time at extended spring training, presumably followed by a rehab assignment, but he seems to be a bit ahead of schedule and could thus be back with the Orioles by mid-June.

Hardy (foot) was placed on the 15-day DL on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Hardy had already been ruled out for 6-to-8 weeks after suffering a hairline fracture in his foot, so the move doesn't come as a surprise. The club recalled Ryan Flaherty to take his spot on the roster, while Manny Machado is expected to slide over to shortstop in his absence.

Hardy (foot) will be out for six-to-eight weeks due to a hairline fracture in his foot, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hardy fouled a ball off his foot in the fourth inning of Sunday's contest, and although the injury was initially labeled as a foot contusion, a CT scan revealed something much worse. He's expected to miss six-to-eight weeks due to the ailment, which would put him on pace for a return sometime in mid- to late-June. Ryan Flaherty is expected to be called up to replace his spot on the roster, although Paul Janish is also an option to be called up in the near future.
