Hardy (foot) will begin a rehab assignment Tuesday at Double-A Bowie, Eduardo A. Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports.

The O's still haven't provided a return date for Hardy, but it's reasonable to think that he may need as long as one week to get back into the swing of things during a rehab assignment before he's ready to rejoin the Baltimore lineup.
