Hardy (oblique) had an MRI on Tuesday, MASN's Roch Kubatko reports. According to Eduardo A. Encina of the Baltimore Sun, Hardy said the soreness in his left side feels similar to an oblique strain that caused him to miss 25 games in 2011. While there's no need to jump to any conclusions regarding an extended absence, Hardy won't be in Tuesday's lineup against the Astros, and he's a candidate to land on the disabled list.

Hardy was held out of Monday's lineup against the Astros due to irritation he's been experiencing on his left side, Eduardo Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports. Hardy didn't take batting practice Monday as a result of the injury, though he was spotted fielding grounders. It doesn't sound like the Orioles are calling Hardy more than day-to-day at this time, but the shortstop expressed concern that he could be out for more than game or two due to his previous issues with his left oblique in 2011. Everth Cabrera will take Hardy's spot in the lineup while the Orioles look to determine the full extent of the injury.

Hardy is out of the lineup Monday against the Astros, Brittany Ghiroli of MLB.com reports. Hardy is hitting just .190 this season and is getting Monday off after eight straight starts. This appears to be unrelated to the back injury that forced him out of a game last week. Everth Cabrera gets the start at shortstop instead.

Hardy, who left Monday's game with a back injury but will play Tuesday, feels he is managing his back issues much better than he did last season, Eduardo Encina of The Baltimore Sun reports. Back injuries cost Hardy roughly a week's worth of action two separate times last season, but the back issue that knocked him out of Monday's game did not require him sitting out even a full game, which is proof enough that he is keeping his back in better shape than he did a year ago. The back soreness could pop up again at some point this season, but -- depending on the severity, of course -- it should not require a lengthy absence like it did in 2014.

Hardy (back) is back in the lineup Tuesday against the Astros. Hardy left Monday's game with tightness in his back, but it doesn't look to be anything serious, as he's back in the lineup hitting seventh and manning his usual shortstop spot against Astros starter Scott Feldman.

Hardy departed Monday's win over the Astros with back tightness. The shortstop left after going 1-for-3 with a single and a strikeout. Little information is known about the situation, so Hardy should be considered day-to-day until further notice.

Hardy is out of the lineup Sunday against the Marlins, Rich Dubroff of CSN Baltimore reports. Manager Buck Showalter just wanted Hardy to receive some maintenance with the Orioles slated to play day games on Monday and Wednesday during their upcoming series against the Astros. Everth Cabrera will step in to man shortstop Sunday.

Hardy was 2-for-3 with a solo home run in a losing effort against the Angels on Friday night. He returned to the lineup last week after missing the first few weeks of the season with a strained muscle in his shoulder. He is hitting just .214 but he does have a pair of home runs now, and appears to be fully healthy.

Hardy was 1-for-3 with a walk and a pair of runs scored in a losing effort against the Yankees on Friday night. Hardy appears to be back in good health, and has played in back-to-back games after coming off the disabled list Thursday. He should be good to get in your fantasy lineup for upcoming games.

Hardy (shoulder) will start at shortstop and bat seventh in Thursday's game against the Yankees, MASN's Roch Kubatko reports. Hardy is finally ready for his 2015 debut, following a three-game rehab assignment at Double-A Bowie. He went 4-for-12 during his brief stint in the minors, and he said earlier this week that his shoulder feels fine. With Hardy rejoining the team, Everth Cabrera will be knocked back to a utility role.
