Hardy is out of the lineup Thursday at the Athletics, MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hardy will catch a breather for the first time since July 24. He has rebounded nicely after a couple of paltry seasons at the plate and is slashing .278/.314/.411. The batting average would be the second best of his career, the OBP would be his best since 2011 and the SLG is his best since hitting 25 home runs in 2013. Still, Hardy's power has not returned as he has just five home runs on the season.

Hardy is out of the lineup Sunday against the Indians, MLB.com's Brittany Ghiroli reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hardy has sported a hot bat since the All-Star break, going 12-for-33 (.364 average) at the dish with a homer and four RBI. The shortstop will turn 34 years old in August, so Orioles skipper Buck Showalter will likely look to rest him occasionally down the stretch in order to preserve Hardy for a potential postseason run. Ryan Flaherty will cover shortstop for Hardy on Sunday.

Hardy went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Saturday's 2-1 victory over the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
The Orioles' shortsop was the difference in the game, blasting a 399-foot shot to left field with Matt Wieters aboard in the fourth to open the scoring. The round-tripper was Hardy's second in the last three games, and extended his hitting streak to nine games. The 33-year-old has multi-hit efforts in four contests over that span as well, and is slashing .333/.350/.590 over 39 at-bats in July.

Hardy went 2-for-3 with a walk, a home run and two RBI in Sunday's win over the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
The home run was his first since returning from the DL on June 18 and just his third of the season. Hardy suffered through a rough first half, but he's hitting .355/.375/.581 so far in July and could be poised for a solid second half.

Hardy is not in Wednesday's lineup, Eduardo A Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Just a day off for Hardy, who hadn't missed a game since coming off the DL on June 18. Ryan Flaherty will get the start at shortstop.

Hardy (foot) has been activated off the disabled list and will bat eighth in the lineup for Saturday's game against Toronto.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran shortstop will reclaim his spot in the field and in the lineup Saturday after a fractured foot put him on the shelf in early May. Hardy had gotten off to a decent start at the dish before suffering the broken foot, slashing .244/.291/.410 with a pair of home runs through 78 at-bats. He'll likely be a fixture in the bottom third of the Orioles' order moving forward, and his return to shortstop will move Manny Machado back to third base.

Hardy (foot) will come off the disabled list ahead of Saturday's game against the Blue Jays, Roch Kubatko of MASN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hardy last played on May 1 before suffering a hairline fracture in his foot. He's expected to immediately reenter the lineup, which will force Manny Machado back over to third base. At 33 years old, Hardy will pick up a .244 batting average that he compiled over his first 86 plate appearances earlier this season.

Hardy (foot) remains out of the lineup Friday against the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
It was thought that Hardy could return as soon as Friday, but he will need more time before he is ready to return to shortstop for the O's. Manny Machado will continue to man the six-spot for Baltimore on Friday.

Hardy (foot) could return as early as Friday, Brittany Ghiroli of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hardy just began a rehab stint Tuesday and it sounds like Friday is a best case scenario, so it's possible he'll need a bit more time. Either way, it's an encouraging sign that the 33-year-old is not far off from a return after being sidelined for the past six weeks. He figures to slot back in as the regular shortstop whenever he's ready.

Hardy (foot) went 2-for-3 with two singles and played six innings Tuesday for Double-A Bowie.
EDGE Analysis
Tuesday marked Hardy's first rehab appearance and he should be able to return within a week. Hardy will need to show he can play in the field for a full game before he has a shot of being activated, but that should not be far off. He has been out since May 1 when he fouled a ball off his foot.
