Wright (shoulder) is working with physical therapists but has yet to resume throwing, Marc Carig of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Considering Wright will need substantial extended spring training and rehab time once he is able to start throwing, expecting a return anytime in the next month seems extremely optimistic. Wright has failed to reach the 40 game mark in either of the past two seasons, and it's not looking like he'll reach it in 2017 either.

Wright (shoulder) fielded groundballs and lightly tossed with an overhand motion Friday, David Lennon of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wright was just recently shifted to the 60-day disabled list due to how long it's taken him to recover from his offseason shoulder injury, but it seems like he is making some strides in his rehab process. The Mets are understandably being incredibly cautious with their fragile third baseman, so it could be another week or more before he makes another major step in his recovery.

Wright (shoulder) was transferred to the 60-day DL on Thursday, Marc Carig of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wright's rehab process had been going slowly, so the Mets opted to move him to the 60-day DL so that they could open a spot on the 40-man roster. With this move, Wright will have to remain out until the beginning of June. Injuries have been the focal point of Wright's last two seasons, as he played in less than 40 games each year.

Wright (shoulder) is expected to begin baseball activities later this week, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The embattled third baseman intends on partaking in batting practice, fielding drills and ideally some throwing. Wright remains without a firm timetable for his return to action with the Mets, but it's certainly a good sign that the Mets feel comfortable enough with his health to ramp up his activity again.

Wright (shoulder) resumed throwing Friday, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wright is only participating in light throwing exercises at this point, but it's a step in the right direction for the veteran. There's still no timeframe for his return, but it's likely that the Mets will be careful not to rush Wright back to action. He's frequently battled injuries in recent seasons and played in less than 40 games each of the last two years.

Wright (shoulder) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Sunday, Marc Carig of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Mets are taking a very cautious approach with Wright's injured shoulder this spring. He is set to travel with the team for the first few days of the season before returning to Port St. Lucie to continue his rehab program. He still does not have a clear timetable for return, but it'd be a surprise to see him back in the next couple of weeks.

Wright (shoulder) will travel with the Mets back to New York for the first few days of the season before returning to Port St. Lucie to continue rehab, Matt Ehalt of The Bergen Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wright recently finished the third week of his original timetable of 4-6 weeks. He's hitting, fielding and running but still can't perform throws across the infield. The vet still doesn't have a concrete timetable for his return.

Wright (shoulder) could begin throwing a baseball again in a couple of weeks, The New York Post reports. "I've got to finish the shoulder program that our team doctors have given me to complete,'' Wright said Friday. "Once that's completed then we'll try throwing again and hopefully it's relatively pain free.''
EDGE Analysis
He's set to remain in extended spring training once the regular season begins, but if Wright's current rehab goes well he'll at least have a shot at returning to the Mets' lineup within the first month of the season. Until he's able to throw a ball without pain, though, his baseball future remains cloudy.

Manager Terry Collins said that he doubts Wright (shoulder) will be able to appear in another Grapefruit League game this year, Matt Ehalt of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
The embattled third baseman has already missed a good chunk of time with his current shoulder issue, and it seems like the Mets aren't going to try to push him any further with the hope of speeding up his rehab process. There are some concerns over Wright's availability for the season as a whole, and given his extensive injury history and the severity that this ailment seems to pose, rostering him seems to be quite risky at this time.

Wright (shoulder) said it was "worthless" to guess when he might be ready to take part in any games again, The New York Post reports. "I think this is something that just needs to be corrected with an aggressive, probably time-consuming shoulder rehab and that is why I want to start concentrating on that before I do a lot of baseball stuff," Wright said Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
It's becoming increasingly clear that Jose Reyes will be the Mets' third baseman on Opening Day, but it's also becoming clear that the team can't really count on Wright to be in the lineup at all during the 2017 season. The 34-year-old hasn't given up on the idea of resuming his career and has four years remaining on his contract, but from a fantasy perspective there's little reason to use a roster spot on Wright.
