Martin Brodeur will indeed start New Jersey's regular season finale on Sunday in a matinee affair against Boston. It may be his last start with the Devils and it could even be the last start of his excellent NHL career. "I'm just going to go out and play like it's another game, but definitely knowing in the back of my mind it might be my last one I'm going to play here-any for a while," said Brodeur. "So, I'll try to enjoy it as much as I can and, I think, for the team too we owe it to the fans, they've been really supportive throughout this season, to go out and make a good last impression." Brodeur hasn't posted very impressive numbers this season, but look for him to go out on a high note.

Coach Pete DeBeor would prefer to have Martin Brodeur start Sunday afternoon's season finale against Boston. "I'd like Marty to play on Sunday, but I haven't spoken with him about that," DeBoer said. Brodeur made 28 saves in a 3-2 shootout loss to the Islanders on Friday night in his first appearance since Mar. 31. It's possible that Cory Schneider could get the nod depending on how Brodeur feels. Brodeur could be making his final appearance with the Devils before deciding on his future in the summer.

Martin Brodeur made 28 stops but allowed all three Isles to score in the shootout, dropping the Devils' record to 0-13 in the shootout this season as they fell 3-2 to the Isles on Friday. Head Coach Peter DeBoer has not yet announced whether Brodeur will get the start in the Devils' season finale against Boston on Sunday. If he doesn't, this could have been the legend's final start for New Jersey, as the 41 year old is contemplating his options for next season. Brodeur has gone 18-14-6 this year with a .901 save percentage and 2.52 goals against average.

Martin Brodeur will get the nod on Friday. This could be Brodeur's last start as a member of the New Jersey Devils. He's previously stated that he would like to play in another campaign though, even if it isn't with New Jersey, so this might not be his final game overall.

Martin Brodeur isn't sure if he'll start again this season for the Devils. Cory Schneider will start his fifth consecutive game Thursday night. New Jersey hosts the Islanders on Friday and Boston on Sunday to close out the regular season. "I might have played my last game here," he said. "Who knows? I'm not sure what's going to happen over the weekend. We'll see. It's something that we'll have to talk about." There's a chance that he could be back with the team next year, but he understands if they want to roll with Schneider as their No. 1 netminder. "Regardless of if I stay or leave, the Devils are in unbelievable hands with Schneids," he said.

Martin Brodeur allowed three goals on only nine shots in New Jersey's 6-3 win over Florida Monday night. Brodeur, who was still credited with his 18th win of the season, was pulled after allowing three goals on nine shots midway through the second. Cory Schneider replaced him and stopped all 13 shots he faced. The Devils will play tonight in Buffalo so Schneider will probably continue between the pipes.

It appears Martin Brodeur will play another season in the NHL. Brodeur will test the free agent market and appears to be "80 percent sure" he'll play another season in the NHL. Retirement is still a possibility however as is a return to the Devils. "I'm not closing (the door) here at all," Brodeur said. "It will be a decision I'll make after offers are brought to me. It might be July 1st or it might be way after July 1st. It all depends on what is on the table, whether it's in New Jersey or somewhere else. I'm open-minded about it. I'm looking for specific things some teams probably can't give me. And that's understandable at my age. But if I feel I can play and people want me, we'll see." Brodeur is 17-14-5 with 2.49 GAA and a .903 save percentage. He definitely wants to play more next season so the Devils may not be an option.

Martin Brodeur turned in a decent performance, but was saddled with a loss in a 3-2 shootout decision against Phoenix Thursday night. Brodeur successfully blocked 25 of the 27 shots he faced, but it wasn't enough as a Mikkel Boedker shootout goal was the ultimate difference-maker. The veteran's record falls to 17-14-5 with the defeat while his GAA is 2.49 and his save percentage is .903.

The New Jersey Devils will start Martin Brodeur on Thursday. Brodeur stopped 25 of 26 shots against the Rangers on Saturday, but still lost his third straight game. The Devils are five points shy of the second Wild Card spot with just 10 contests left to play, so they desperately need these two points.
