Scott signed a minor league deal with the Blue Jays on Thursday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet reports. Scott, who last saw major league action for the Rays in 2013, spent last season in Korea and has played 28 games in Mexico in 2015. The 36-year-old will report to Triple-A Buffalo in hopes of proving he can still be a productive hitter. Given his advanced age, Scott's upside is very limited, from a fantasy perspective.

Luke Scott was released by the SK Wyverns of the Korean Baseball Organization Wednesday after showing "disrespectful" behavior toward his coach. Scott was on the injured list due to plantar fasciitis and was not pleased with how the team was managing the ailment, calling coach Lee Man-soon a "liar" and a "coward." The 36-year-old hit .267 with six homers in 33 games for Wyvern and was on the injured list three times. He seems likely to sit out the rest of the season before seeking a major league deal over the winter.

Luke Scott has agreed to a deal with SK Wyverns of the Korean Baseball Organization, a source tells Chris Cotillo of MLB Daily Dish. The terms of the deal weren't known. It's a bit surprising that Scott couldn't find a job with an MLB team after batting .241/.326/.415 in 253 at-bats with the Rays last season. Scott will turn 36 in June.

Luke Scott's evaluation of his back went well and he will likely be activated on Sunday. The move was expected, and after a positive evaluation it's a near certainty. The 35-year-old is hitting .249/.336/.430 this year, and will likely serve as the team's primary designated hitter upon return.

Luke Scott (back) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Durham on Wednesday. Scott will play in a few games for Durham before returning on September 1. He should see pretty regular at-bats in the DH spot against right-handed pitching once he's back.

Luke Scott is currently dealing with back spasms. It's not a major concern, but it would certainly explain his lack of production of late. Wil Myers will serve as the DH again on Friday while Kelly Johnson, Sam Fuld, and Matt Joyce play the outfield.
