Rzepczynski struck out one in 0.2 scoreless innings of work Saturday against the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Rzepczynski entered with two runners in scoring position but was able to escape by striking out Brett Gardner and getting Andrew Romine to ground out. Other than a rough outing in Boston, the lefty has been solid out of the bullpen this season, mainly used as a specialist against left-handed hitters. Oakland has one of the weakest pitching staffs in the league, so Rzepczynski should continue getting plenty of relief opportunities.

Rzepcynski had a scoreless outing Wednesday against the Yankees, allowing a hit over 0.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Rzepcynski has appeared in seven games for the A's so far in 2016 and has yet to allow a run. He has thrown 5.1 innings in those seven appearances, giving up four hits and a walk while punching out three. He will remain one of the A's stalwarts in the backend of the bullpen, usually deployed to retire lefties.

Rzepczynski signed a one-year contract with the A's on Wednesday, avoiding arbitration, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
The A's acquired Rzepczysnki earlier Wednesday along with first baseman Yonder Alonso in exchange for Drew Pomeranz. While Rzepczysnki's final numbers from 2015 appear unsightly on the surface, he was the victim of bad luck -- he had a .381 opponents' BABIP and 53 percent strand rate. His 26 percent strikeout rate and 67.3 percent groundball rate from 2015 bode well for the future.

Rzepcyznski was traded from the Padres to the Athletics on Wednesday, Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rzepczynski was traded mid-season from the Indians to the Padres and they then turned around and moved him to the Athletics with Yonder Alonso to acquire Drew Pomeranz. Rzepczynski struggled heavily on the Padres, posting a 7.36 ERA in 27 appearances with a 17:4 K:BB ratio. Rzepczynski will compete for one of the last spots in the bullpen as a LOOGY for the Athletics.

Rzepczynski struck out the only batter he faced in Wednesday's win over the White Sox. Beyond holds leagues, Rzepczynski is unlikely to make much of an impact in most formats. Look for the Indians to use him very similarly to the way he was deployed in 2014, when he tossed 46 innings over 73 appearances and returned a 2.74 with 13 holds in the process.

Rzepczynski agreed to a one-year, $2.4 million deal with the Indians on Thursday, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports. Rzepczynski had a great 2014 season for the Indians, finishing the campaign with a 2.74 ERA and 1.33 WHIP with 46 strikeouts in 46 innings. He figures to work in a late-inning role for the club in 2015 if he can continue with his success.

Rzepczynski was tendered a contract by the Indians before the Tuesday night deadline. Rzepczynski was the Indians' primary southpaw out of the bullpen in 2014, limiting lefties to a .180 batting average in 73 appearances and figures to fill a similar role in 2015.

Indians avoided arbitration with LHP Marc Rzepczynski by agreeing to a one-year, $1.375 million contract. It was Rzepczynski's first season of arbitration eligibility. The left-hander pitched well for the Tribe last season after arriving via trade, posting a 0.89 ERA over 27 appearances.

Indians acquired LHP Marc Rzepczynski from the Cardinals for INF Juan Herrera. Rzepczynski posted a 4.63 ERA and 1.46 WHIP in 79 2/3 total innings for St. Louis after heading over from Toronto in the mid-2011 Colby Rasmus trade. The 27-year-old left-hander has been especially bad this summer and will look to turn things around with a change of scenery. Herrera is a raw 20-year-old infielder from the Dominican.

Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the Cardinals have traded Marc Rzepczynski to Cleveland. St. Louis will get a low-level minor leaguer in return. "Scrabble" has posted a rough 7.84 ERA and 1.94 WHIP in 10 1/3 innings this year in the majors and seems doubtful to suddenly pull it together for the Tribe.
