EDGE Analysis
After being designated for assignment Friday, Rzepczynski was let go following 18 appearances in the big leagues this season. He accrued a 9.39 ERA and 2.87 WHIP with a 10:9 K:BB over 7.2 innings out of the bullpen. Rzepczynski has already been a part of seven different teams over the course of his career.

Rzepczynski was designated for assignment by the Mariners on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Rzepczynski has allowed 11 runs (eight earned ) on 13 hits and nine walks over 7.2 innings this season. The left-hander was primarily used as a left-handed specialist as right-handed batters were 7-for-11 with two home runs and five walks against him this season. The Mariners recalled Roenis Elias from Triple-A Tacoma in a corresponding move.

Rzepczynski fired a scoreless seventh inning in a loss to the Rangers on Tuesday, allowing a hit and a walk while recording a strikeout.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran southpaw has now gone four consecutive appearances without allowing an earned run, his longest such stretch of the season. A rough start to the season saw Rzepczynski's ERA climb as high as 13.50 on April 14, but he appears to be settling in if recent outings are any indication.

Rzepczynski allowed an earned run on a hit and a walk without recording an out in a win over the Blue Jays on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Rzepczynski worked himself into a sticky situation by allowing a leadoff infield single to Lourdes Gurriel, walking pinch-hitter Anthony Alford and surrendering a single to Josh Donaldson, loading the bases. That led to a quick exit, and the veteran was ultimately charged with a run on Yangervis Solarte's RBI double play off James Pazos later in the inning. The 32-year-old southpaw has been unsteady thus far this season, offsetting seven scoreless appearances with five other outings where he's allowed a combined six earned runs.

Rzepczynski notched his third hold in a win over the White Sox on Tuesday, retiring the only batter he faced on pitch.
EDGE Analysis
Rzepczynski needed just one pitch to close out the seventh, retiring Nicky Delmonico on a groundout to shortstop for one of the easiest holds he'll log all season. After a ragged stretch in which he allowed four earned runs over three consecutive appearances earlier in April, the veteran southpaw has bounced back to post three straight scoreless efforts, although he hasn't pitched more than a third of an inning in any of them.

Rzepczynski allowed an earned run on a solo home run over one inning in a loss to the Astros on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran southpaw gave up catcher Max Stassi's second home run of the season in the seventh, extending what is now a three-appearances slump. Rzepczynski has surrendered a homer in two straight appearances and an earned run in three consecutive, neither of which he did all of last season. In fact, the pair of round trippers match his total number surrendered in 2017 over a 64-appearance sample, and his recent struggles have pushed his ERA to an unsightly 12.00 over six appearances.

Rzepczynski allowed an earned run on two hits over one-third of an inning in Saturday's 11-4 win over the Twins. He also recorded a strikeout.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran lefty has been utilized judiciously in the early going, as he's yet to work more than two-thirds of an inning. The earned run he allowed Saturday was the first on Rzepczynski's ledger this season, as were the two hits. The 32-year-old has logged no fewer than last season's 64 appearances in six of his last seven campaigns, so another heavy workload likely awaits him over the course of 2018.

Rzepczynski allowed an earned run on two hits over one inning in Monday's 4-2 Cactus League loss to the White Sox. He also recorded a strikeout.
EDGE Analysis
One of the more reliable bullpen options for manager Scott Servais in 2017 -- especially in the first half of the season -- Rzepczynski has endured a couple of rocky outings thus far this spring. Monday was the latest example, as he was touched up for a solo home run by Zack Collins during his inning of work. Rzepczynski had also given up a pair of earned runs in a Mar. 2 turn against the Brewers, but he's been able to notch at least one strikeout in each of his five appearances. Given his previous body of work, he should have ample opportunity to build on the career-high 20 holds he compiled last season while serving in a similar middle-inning/setup role in 2018.

Rzepczynski posted a 2-2 record, 4.02 ERA, 1.56 WHIP, 20 holds and one save in 31.1 innings across 64 appearances in 2017.
EDGE Analysis
Rzepczynski was a dependable option for manager Scott Servais out of the bullpen for the majority of the season, although a couple of outings in which he gave up multiple earned runs conspired to sully his final numbers to a degree. The veteran right-hander posted a solid 3.31 ERA and .217 BAA in 16.1 first-half frames, but those numbers bumped up to 4.80 and .291, respectively, following the All-Star break. However, Rzepczynski also posted a career-best 20 holds and should have a secure role once again headed into spring training in 2018.

Rzepczynski notched his 19th hold in Friday's 3-2 win over the Athletics by pitching a clean one-third of an inning.
EDGE Analysis
Rzepczynski just keeps rolling along as one of manager Scott Servais' most consistent sixth-and-seventh-inning options. He rattled off scoreless efforts in 15 of his last 16 appearances and has now set a new career high in holds. Given his secure role in the bullpen rotation, he remains an option for those in deep AL-only formats.
