De La Rosa pitched a scoreless seventh inning in Sunday's 6-4 loss to the Pirates in 10 innings. He walked one batter and recorded a strikeout.
EDGE Analysis
De La Rosa has walked at least one runner in each of his last three appearances, but he's only conceded one run during that span and still seems to have a strong foothold in the late innings for the Diamondbacks. He's emerged as the top southpaw out of the Arizona bullpen, though his prior experience as a starter doesn't merely render him a lefty-on-lefty specialist.

De La Rosa struck out the side on 11 pitches in his one inning of relief work during Sunday's 2-0 win over the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
De La Rosa was dominant during his two appearances in relief in the series against his former team, tossing 2.1 perfect innings and striking out four batters. The veteran left-hander has noticed a four mile-per-hour increase in his fastball velocity while transitioning from starting to relief duty this season, and is quickly becoming one of the more reliable options out of the Diamondbacks bullpen. He owns a 2.53 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and 12 strikeouts across 10.2 innings.

De La Rosa surrendered solo homer and a base hit, but struck out two batters in the eighth inning to record his fourth hold of the season in Monday's 7-6 win over the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
For the third time in four days, manager Torey Lovullo deployed the lefty out of the bullpen, though De La Rosa's outing didn't go as smoothly as the previous two. While Lovullo's decision to use De La Rosa late in a two-run game indicates the veteran has gained some trust at the back end of the bullpen, it doesn't appear that he'll be under consideration for the opening in the Diamondbacks rotation that was created earlier Monday by Shelby Miller (forearm) landing on the 10-day DL. Instead, look for the Diamondbacks to delve into their Triple-A ranks for a starter or turn to long reliever Archie Bradley when Miller's next turn comes up Friday against the Rockies.

De La Rosa's contract was purchased by the Diamondbacks on Monday, indicating that he's claimed a spot on the Opening Day roster.
EDGE Analysis
After making at least 24 starts with the Rockies in each of the past four seasons, De La Rosa will transition to a relief role to begin his Diamondbacks career. The 35-year-old, who attended camp as a non-roster invitee, will presumably settle for a long-relief role after he did little to justify higher-leverage duties in spring training. De La Rosa has been tagged for five runs on 11 hits and six walks over eight innings in Cactus League play.

De La Rosa signed a minor league deal with the Diamondbacks on Sunday that includes an invitation to spring training, Jesse Sanchez of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
De La Rosa made 24 starts and posted a 5.51 ERA over 134 innings with the Rockies last season. The 35-year-old has seen his numbers gradually decline over the past few seasons and he will likely serve as pitching depth for the Diamondbacks in 2017.

De La Rosa (8-9) allowed eight runs (seven earned) on seven hits and three walks with eight strikeouts and took the loss Tuesday against the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
The Rockies already announced this would be De La Rosa's last start of the season, a poor campaign that ends on an appropriately sour note. De La Rosa allowed his 22nd and 23rd homers of the season in just 24 starts as he watched his final ERA balloon to 5.51, his worst in a 100-inning season since he posted a 5.82 mark in 130 innings with the Royals in 2007.

Manager Walt Weiss announced that Tuesday's start will be the last start of the season for De La Rosa, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
De La Rosa has endured one of his worst seasons as a member of the Rockies, and with as many young and promising arms as the Rockies have in their system, it seems Colorado is content with letting the left-hander be done for the season following Tuesday's assignment. It's unclear if he'll simply be moved to the bullpen or if the Rockies will give him the rest of the season off, but that should be determined in due time as De La Rosa's time in Denver draws to a close.

De La Rosa (8-8) allowed six runs (five earned) on eight hits and four walks with three strikeouts over 3.1 innings in a loss Tuesday against the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
De La Rosa has now allowed at least five runs in three consecutive starts, although six of the 16 runs he has allowed have been unearned. More alarming, De La Rosa has surrendered eight home runs in his past six starts after surrendering two home runs for the sixth time this season Tuesday. His ERA has climbed to 5.22 as a result.

De La Rosa gave up five runs on nine hits -- including two homers -- over six innings in Wednesday's home loss to the Giants. He struck out five and walked one.
EDGE Analysis
The lefty actually has somewhat better numbers at Coors than on the road, but he hasn't been good any way you slice it, as his season ERA is now a perfectly terrible 5.00. There's little reason to own or trust him in fantasy.

De La Rosa allowed five runs (no earned) on seven hits, struck out two and walked four over five innings in a no-decision versus the Diamondbacks on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
A rare Nolan Arenado error led to a run in the third and then a throwing error by De La Rosa himself in the fifth allowed four more to score. Fortunately, the Rockies came back to take the lead and win 14-7, so De La Rosa wasn't charged with the loss. He is 8-7 with a 4.88 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 92 strikeouts in 120 innings this season.
