Street didn't record an out while blowing his second save of the season Tuesday against the Astros. He walked two and gave up two hits, including a two-run walk-off drive courtesy of Carlos Correa.
EDGE Analysis
After Street loaded the bases with two walks and an infield single, Correa laced a 3-2 pitch into the gap, scoring George Springer and Marwin Gonzalez to win the game. Street's second blown save of the season (and second in his last three appearances) spoiled a solid outing from Hector Santiago. Injuries and poor performances in the Angels bullpen will likely help keep his job safe in the short-term. However, the veteran has shown regression in many on his peripheral and the team may be forced to make a move if Street continues down the path he's been traveling this month.

Street tossed a scoreless inning with a strikeout Tuesday against the Twins to pick up his seventh save of the season.
EDGE Analysis
Street returned to form after surrendering his first blown save of the season Saturday, retiring the Twins in order on only 12 pitches. It has been an unusual season for Street, as his strikeouts are at a career low (11 percent) while his walks are at a career high (11 percent) but he has managed to keep a 2.84 ERA. A 5.84 xFIP tells us that there may be some major regression coming, but Street will likely remain the man in the ninth for as long as he can perform.

Street blew his first save of the season Saturday against the Indians. He gave up three runs, four hits and a walk while recording just two outs before he was replaced.
EDGE Analysis
Street ruined a masterful performance by starter Matt Shoemaker, but it's hard to get mad at a closer with the resume of Street. Blown saves are part of the job, and overall, the Angels can't complain about the effort Street has given them this season.

Street (oblique) was activated from the 15-day DL Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Street had a successful workout Saturday during extended spring training, opening the door for a Monday activation. The Angels will do just that, bringing their closer back into the fold while optioning Mike Morin to Triple-A to make room on the roster. Presuming Street picks up where he left off, Joe Smith will likely be relegated back to setup duties.

Street (oblique) could be activated from the 15-day DL as soon as Monday, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Street tossed 20 pitches during an extended spring training appearance Saturday, and the Angels are in the process of reevaluating him before determining whether or not he's fit for activation. If the Angels decide to take a conservative approach, Street would likely make one more rehab appearance in a minor-league game early this week before perhaps returning from the DL prior to next weekend. Once Street is back on the active roster, he'll likely reclaim closing duties, with Joe Smith moving back to a setup role.

Street (oblique) threw 20 pitches in an extended spring training game Saturday, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
No setbacks were reported after Saturday's session, and Street will be reevaluated in order to determine whether he needs another outing at the Angels' extended spring training complex, or if he is ready to resume game action.

Street (oblique) will go to extended spring training Friday before progressing to a rehab assignment, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Angels have not provided a specific return date for Street, but it seems likely that he'll need just a few appearances during his rehab assignment before he's ready to go as the team's closer again.

Street (oblique) threw a bullpen session Friday and he is on track to throw a simulated game next week, Joey Kaufman of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
According to Kaufman, Street will need to throw one more bullpen session before taking the mound for a sim game next week. He has been on the disabled list for close to a month at this point due to a strained left oblique, but Friday's news suggests that a return to the Angels bullpen could be on the table in the near future.

Street (oblique) threw a 25-pitch bullpen session on Wednesday, and is targeting a late May or early June return, Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Street, the Angels regular closer, was placed on the 15-day disabled list at the end of April due to the strained oblique. Street's bullpen session Wednesday provided some insight on his targeted return. Although he will still need to complete a rehab assignment before being thrust back into the Angels bullpen, its a good sign that his progress Wednesday went off without any setbacks.

Street (oblique) will throw a bullpen session Wednesday, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 32-year-old has ramped up on flat ground over the past week and is now set to resume mound work. Street will likely need to log a couple standard bullpen sessions and a live session or two before heading out on a rehab assignment, but if all goes well, he could return at some point during Memorial Day weekend. The right-hander went 5-for-5 in save chances to open the 2016 campaign.
