Gee will pitch out of the Twins' bullpen in the near-term, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Twins won't require a fifth starter until Saturday, so Gee may be called upon to eat up innings in relief prior to that date. Depending on his workload in the coming days, it's possible that Kyle Gibson could be recalled from Triple-A Rochester to start Saturday's contest. Otherwise, if his arm is fresh, Gee seems the likely candidate to take the mound Saturday against the Rangers.

Gee had his contract purchased from Triple-A Rochester on Tuesday, Brandon Warne of ZoneCoverage.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Gee will take the place of Jaime Garcia on the active roster. He'll likely slot into the starting rotation Saturday against the Rangers, though that could ultimately change if he's used out of the bullpen in the coming days. Although he's posted a solid 2.00 ERA and 20:3 K:BB through 27 innings (five starts) with Triple-A Rochester, the 31-year-old compiled a 4.15 ERA and 10:6 K:BB through 13 major-league innings earlier in the year, so there are probably better fantasy options available.

Gee will have his contract purchased from Triple-A Rochester on Tuesday, LaVelle E. Neal III of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
A spot opened up in the Twins' starting rotation after Jaime Garcia was traded to the Yankees, and it appears Gee may slide in as a temporary replacement. He's compiled a 2.00 ERA and 20:3 K:BB through five starts (27 innings) with Triple-A Rochester, though his 4.15 ERA and 10:6 K:BB in 13 major-league innings this season make him a less appealing streaming option. He'll likely slide into the rotation for Saturday's game against the Rangers.

Gee was placed on outright waivers Monday, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gee inked a minor-league deal with the Twins on June 20 but has already been shown the door after 15 innings of scoreless ball with Triple-A Rochester. His removal from the 40-man roster opens up a spot for Tuesday's starter Bartolo Colon.

Gee is a candidate to start Tuesday's game against the Yankees, Mike Berardino of The Pioneer-Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
There's an open spot in the rotation for Tuesday, and Bartolo Colon's subpar debut at Triple-A Rochester may have taken him out of the running to make that start. Meanwhile, Gee has thrown 8.0 scoreless innings across two starts at Rochester since joining the Twins organization earlier in the summer. Look for the Twins to make an announcement on Gee's status in the coming days.

Gee was sent down to Triple-A Rochester after Monday's game, Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gee didn't appear once in his short time with the Twins. His experience as a major league starter and ability to eat innings make his presence in the organization worthwhile, but it's not surprising that he didn't stick with the Twins -- the 1.77 WHIP and 10:6 K:BB he posted in 13 innings with the Rangers earlier this season weren't terribly inspiring.

The Twins selected Gee's contract from Triple-A Rochester on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Gee will start for Minnesota on Friday against Cleveland -- a perilous matchup for any fantasy owner who has thought about using him. He owns a 4.15 ERA and a 1.77 WHIP in 13 major-league innings this year with the Rangers. He'll need to dazzle the club in order to keep a rotation spot, though given the state of this quintent, it's possible.

Gee will be recalled in advance of Friday's series opener against the Indians, Darren Wolfson of 1500 ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Twins have a pair of roster openings with Nik Turley being optioned after a rough start Thursday and Ehire Adrianza landing on the disabled list. Minnesota will need to clear a spot on the 40-man roster before officially bringing up Gee, however. Gee has four major league appearances this season, notching a 4.15 ERA and a 1.77 WHIP across 13.0 innings with the Rangers. He has the ability to fill in as a spot starter but could also take on a long relief role.

Gee agreed to a minor-league deal with the Twins on Tuesday, Jon Heyman of FanRagSports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gee was designated for assignment by the Rangers on Friday and ultimately decided to elect for free agency as opposed to accepting his assignment to Triple-A Round Rock. The veteran pitcher wasn't a free agent for long, as the Twins have decided to take a shot on the 31-year-old. He'll report to Triple-A Rochester with his sights set on working his way back the majors.

Gee refused an outright assignment to Triple-A Round Rock after clearing waivers Sunday and will become a free agent, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
EDGE Analysis
After being bumped from the Rangers' rotation last week following a disastrous start June 6 against the Mets, Gee made an appearance out of the bullpen before being dropped from the 40-man roster Friday to facilitate Tyson Ross' (shoulder) activation from the 60-day disabled list. With Ross back healthy and Cole Hamels (oblique) seemingly not far off a return, Gee's chances of reemerging with the big club weren't promising, so he'll attempt to latch on with another organization that has fewer appealing starting options at the big-league level and high minors.
