Headley will not be a part of Friday's starting nine for Game 2 of the ALDS against Cleveland, Buster Olney of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Joe Girardi will turn to Jacoby Ellsbury in the DH spot following Thursday's 4-0 loss. During that contest, Headley went 0-for-2 with one walk.

Headley is out of the lineup Monday against the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
After starting five of the Yankees' last six contests and recording three hits in 17 at-bats, Headley will return to the bench with Matt Holliday resuming DH duties after a two-game hiatus. Holliday still looks like the Yankees' primary designated hitter as the playoffs approach, but an underwhelming .239/.314/.413 slash line in September could prompt manager Joe Girardi to hand more opportunities to Headley if Holliday fails to show improvement in the final week of the regular season.

Headley is out of the lineup against the Twins on Wednesday, Pete Caldera of The Bergen Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
Headley will take a seat on the bench for Wednesday's matinee following a 1-for-4 performance with three strikeouts during Tuesday's victory. In his place, Greg Bird draws the start at first while Todd Frazier is set to man the hot corner.

Headley went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run during Thursday's win over Baltimore.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran has caught fire of late going 10-for-23 at the dish with three homers, four RBI and six runs through his past six games. Unfortunately, Headley is battling for playing time with Greg Bird, Todd Frazier and Matt Holliday. While there's an outside chance that Headley's recent form earns him additional at-bats moving forward, his fantasy value will probably remain limited to deep settings.

Headley went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored during Saturday's win over Boston.
EDGE Analysis
With Todd Fraizer, Greg Bird and Matt Holliday all in the fold, Headley has been receiving a few more nights off of late, so his strong showing Saturday should help him to continue seeing semi-regular playing time. The 33-year-old veteran has turned in a respectable fantasy campaign for deep settings with a .278/.360/.421 slash line, 10 homers, 53 RBI and 63 runs, but his upside is clearly capped at this stage of his career.

Headley will start at first base and bat sixth Sunday against the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
Though Headley will start for the second straight game since Greg Bird returned from the disabled list, it might be unwise for fantasy owners to pencil him for a full slate of starts during the upcoming week. Since lefty Andrew Albers is on the hill Sunday for the Mariners, the lefty-hitting Bird will head to the bench, but there's a good chance Bird will still pick up the bulk of the starts at first base against right-handed pitching. If that's the case, Headley would have to vie with Todd Frazier for starts at the hot corner when righties are on the mound for the opposition, which would limit the opportunities for both players to some extent.

EDGE Analysis
Despite collecting two hits in Wednesday's win, Headley will head to the bench for a breather after starting five straight games. Recently recalled Tyler Austin will start at first base in his place, batting seventh.

Headley is not in the lineup against Boston on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Headley retreats to the bench for the second consecutive contest after starting the past 10 games. The 33-year-old has been one of the hottest hitters for the Yankees recently, and should return to the lineup Saturday. Garrett Cooper picks up a start at first base for the series opener.

Headley went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Saturday's win over Cleveland.
EDGE Analysis
Headley lacks the power and speed to be a standout virtual option, but he sports a respectable .272 batting average and .351 on-base percentage with 43 RBI and 49 runs for the campaign, so there are plenty of settings where he's a serviceable option. Additionally, the veteran projects to remain a staple in the Yankee lineup moving forward, so being attached to a strong offense helps his fantasy floor.
