Norris allowed one hit and struck out one in the ninth inning to record the save Saturday against the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
Norris induced a game-ending double play to record his 14th save of the season in 16 chances. It was a bounceback effort for him after he allowed a walkoff home run on Friday night. While Jordan Hicks and John Brebbia have recorded scattered saves throughout the season, Norris remains the Cardinals' primary closer.

Norris (3-2) allowed a walkoff solo home run in Friday's loss to the Brewers, striking out one and walking zero in a third of an inning.
EDGE Analysis
Norris came into a tie game in the ninth inning and got Travis Shaw to strike out before giving up a walkoff home run to Jesus Aguilar. It was the fourth time in his last eight outings that Norris has allowed a run to score, bringing his ERA to 3.41 on the season. The 33-year-old is still 13-for-15 in save chances and sports an excellent 42:5 K:BB in 31.2 innings.

Norris (3-1) picked up the win in Friday's 7-6 extra-inning victory over the Reds despite blowing his second save of the season, allowing two runs on four hits in the ninth inning while striking out two.
EDGE Analysis
Both his blown saves have come in his last three appearances, and Norris has seen his ERA rise from 2.01 to 3.49 since May 19. The veteran right-hander still has a 9:0 K:BB in six innings during that rough stretch, and the Cards don't have a lot of healthy alternatives for the closer spot at the moment, so Norris' job is likely safe for now. Still, given the trajectory of his 2017 campaign, fantasy GMs relying on him for saves may want to start making contingency plans.

Norris threw a perfect ninth inning with one strikeout to earn his 12th save in a 4-1 win over the Marlins on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Norris had allowed runs in his last two outings, blowing a save for the first time this year in his last outing. However, this outing should certainly instill confidence in his fantasy owners. The former starting pitcher owns a 2.96 ERA in 27.1 innings, walking just four hitters while punching out 38.

Norris (2-1) gave up a solo home run to Austin Meadows in the ninth inning to earn his first blown save of the season. He otherwise struck out the side and ended up with the win as the Cardinals secured the walkoff victory.
EDGE Analysis
Norris gave up the home run to Meadows to start the ninth inning, but was bailed out by Kolten Wong's walkoff home run in the bottom of the frame. The 33-year-old is now 11-for-12 in save opportunities, and has given up solo home runs in each of his last two outings. Norris has a 3.08 ERA and 0.99 WHIP with 37 strikeouts and only four walks over 26.1 innings pitched.

Norris pitched a perfect ninth inning Saturday, striking out one in Pittsburgh en route to his 10th save of the season.
EDGE Analysis
Eight of Norris' 10 appearances this month have been scoreless, notching five saves over that span. He appears to have a pretty good hold of the closer's job in St. Louis going forward.

Norris (1-1) allowed three runs (two earned) on three hits while striking out two in one inning of work Wednesday, taking the loss against the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Norris pitched a clean ninth inning, striking out two of the three batters he faced, but things went downhill quickly when he came back out for the tenth. He allowed all four batters he faced in the frame to reach -- three via singles and one on an error -- as he took his first loss of the season. The 33-year-old has been fairly reliable this season -- Wednesday's outing aside -- but his leash as the closer remains somewhat short with Greg Holland waiting in the wings behind him.

Norris picked up his ninth save of the season in Wednesday's 7-5 win over the Twins, striking out two over 1.2 scoreless innings.
EDGE Analysis
He did allow one inherited runner to score on a wild pitch in the eighth inning, but otherwise Norris was lights out once again. The veteran is a perfect 9-for-9 in save chances this season with a 2.14 ERA and a dominant 29:3 K:BB in 21 innings, and with Greg Holland still struggling to find his form, Norris' hold on the closing job for St. Louis seems to get a little more secure with every appearance.

Norris (triceps) is available to pitch Thursday night, Jim Hayes of FOX Sports Midwest reports.
EDGE Analysis
Norris exited Saturday's game with triceps tightness and has been unable to pitch since. However, it seems like he's fully healthy again after a successful long toss session Tuesday. He'll likely resume normal closer duties if the situation arises Thursday, pushing Greg Holland back into a setup role for a bit longer.

Norris (triceps) said he's confident he'll avoid the 10-day disabled list after throwing long toss off flat ground Tuesday, Rick Hummel of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Mike Matheny suggested Norris' status was still a little up in the air, but the right-hander at least took a step in the right direction by doing some throwing. Norris has been unavailable the past three games with the sore right triceps, but no save chances arose during that span anyway. If Norris steers clear of the DL and returns to action for the four-game series with the Padres that begins Thursday, he should retain the closer title over Greg Holland for at least a little longer.
