De Aza starts in left field Tuesday against Chris Young and the Royals, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports.
EDGE Analysis
De Aza is the Mets' fifth outfielder and will see some time against righties. With Michael Conforto able to DH and Yoenis Cespedes in center field, De Aza replaces Juan Lagares and will play left with a righty on the hill.

De Aza went 0-for-2 with an RBI on Monday against the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
The 31-year-old outfielder hit .262 from the plate in 2015 with seven home runs and 35 RBI. De Aza was a part of three different clubs last season (Baltimore, Boston and San Francisco), and he logged 114 games spread across those organizations. He appears to be set as the backup outfielder in each of the corner spots, but the Mets may choose to deal De Aza with Juan Lagares holding down the role of fourth outfielder on their depth chart.

De Aza, who signed a one-year, $5.75 million deal with the Mets in December, would have to give his consent to be traded before June 14, the NY Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
When de Aza signed, Yoenis Cespedes was still a free agent, but now that Cespedes has re-signed with the Mets, De Aza is likely the fifth outfielder. The Mets won't deal De Aza until late in spring training, if at all, as they prefer having depth in the outfield. If New York is willing to trade him, the Rangers reportedly have interest.

De Aza agreed to a one-year deal with the Mets on Tuesday, Chris Cotillo of MLB Daily Dish reports.
EDGE Analysis
De Aza split time with the Orioles, Red Sox, and Giants last season, working to a combined .262/.333/.422 line between the three clubs. Michael Conforto and Curtis Granderson figure to be locked into full time roles in the corner outfield spots, but De Aza could work his way into a platoon with centerfielder Juan Lagares, as the 31-year-old hit .278/.351/.448 against righties last season.

De Aza is out of the lineup Sunday against the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
The Athletics are going with a left-handed starting pitcher for the second consecutive game, resulting in De Aza hitting the bench again. He'll be spelled by Jarrett Parker, who filled in impressively Saturday with three homers and seven RBI.

De Aza is out of the lineup Saturday against the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
De Aza will take the day off with the left-handed Barry Zito toeing the rubber for the Athletics. Jarrett Parker will receive the start in left field in his place, batting eighth for the Giants.

De Aza batted second and went 2-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen bag in Tuesday's win over San Diego.
EDGE Analysis
With the Giants' outfielders dropping like flies down the stretch, De Aza has carved out an everyday role in left field. He has batted .273 with a pair of stolen bases since becoming a regular September 11. He isn't very appealing to those in mixed leagues, but for deeper leagues De Aza could be a useful outfielder down the stretch who won't break the bank.

De Aza is out of the lineup Saturday against the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
Giants manager Bruce Bochy will give Juan Perez a spin in left field with lefty Patrick Corbin on the mound for Arizona. De Aza is hitting only .143 against southpaws this season.

De Aza made his second start in a Giants uniform Saturday, going 2-for-5 with a run scored in the win over the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
De Aza has been used sparingly since being acquired at the beginnings of the month. With news of Nori Aoki being sidelined with post-concussion symptoms, playing time could open up for De Aza against right-handed starters. Best case scenario for him would be a platoon with Marlon Byrd in right field. De Aza would garner NL-only consideration if that situation developed.

The Giants acquired De Aza from the Red Sox on Monday night, Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Giants will be his third organization of the season. Though he hit well in a Red Sox uniform (.292 with an .831 OPS), the veteran outfielder was just an extra piece for Boston, while the Giants apparently expect him to add much-needed depth to their injury-ravaged outfield. Angel Pagan also expected to be activated Tuesday, but his near-constant injury problems mean De Aza could see some time in center as well as right field.
