De Aza went 0-for-2 with an RBI on Monday against the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
The 31-year-old outfielder hit .262 from the plate in 2015 with seven home runs and 35 RBI. De Aza was a part of three different clubs last season (Baltimore, Boston and San Francisco), and he logged 114 games spread across those organizations. He appears to be set as the backup outfielder in each of the corner spots, but the Mets may choose to deal De Aza with Juan Lagares holding down the role of fourth outfielder on their depth chart.
