De Aza got the start in center field and hit leadoff Sunday, going 2-for-3 with a walk and an RBI in a win over the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
At this point in his career De Aza is stretched defensively in center, but he's now put together a modest five-game hitting streak and as long as he's making an offensive contribution, manager Terry Collins will try to find ways to get him into the lineup.

De Aza might garner additional playing in center field due to Juan Lagares' thumb injury.
EDGE Analysis
De Aza has had a season to forget but righted the ship slightly lately. Lagares likely will need surgery to repair his thumb, leaving a hole in center field. Manager Terry Collins could turn to Michael Conforto but may elect to go for a more natural and experienced center fielder to man the position, which would be De Aza.

De Aza is in the lineup and batting seventh for Wednesday's game against the Nationals, Adam Rubin of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
De Aza has had a rough month of June thus far, hitting just .122/.163/.195 with one run and four RBI through 21 games. It won't get any easier for the 32-year-old Wednesday night as the Nationals have Max Scherzer on the mound.

De Aza is in the lineup for Friday's game against the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
De Aza gets the nod Friday in place of Michael Conforto, who has slumped recently. Manager Terry Collins said the other day that De Aza could see increased playing time and is living up to his word Friday. De Aza could see time in center and right, replacing Conforto and Curtis Granderson.

De Aza could see increased playing time soon, Adam Rubin of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Terry Collins appears to want to get De Aza in the lineup more, calling him "a good player." It is also expected that De Aza remains in the starting lineup Thursday to give Michael Conforto a day off, and will likely give Yoenis Cespedes some rest over the weekend. While it looks like De Aza is in line for a bigger role, it should be taken with a grain of salt as he still is a sub-par offensive player.

De Aza is in the lineup and leading off for Wednesday's game against the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
De Aza will start in place of Curtis Granderson and hold down right field for the Mets. The 32-year-old brings little to the table offensively, hitting just .220/.270/.322 with one home run and three RBI in 37 games this season.

De Aza is in the lineup starting in right field Monday against the White Sox
EDGE Analysis
De Aza gets the nod despite a lefty in Jose Quintana on the hill. He gets the start due to Curtis Granderson receiving a day off and manager Terry Collins sitting Michael Conforto and playing Juan Lagares in center.

De Aza is in the lineup and batting seventh for Monday's game against the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
De Aza is receiving the start for Yoenis Cespedes who remains day-to-day with a leg injury. The 32-year-old is hitting .182/.217/.364 with one home run, one RBI, and one stolen base in 13 games played this season.

De Aza was 3-for-4 with a double and solo homer in Friday's 6-5 victory over the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran outfielder impressively did his damage out of the nine-hole in the lineup. He extended his career-long success against right-handed pitching, homering in the fifth against Indians starter Cody Anderson. De Aza has managed a .331 w0BA and 41 homers of the course of his 10-year career versus righties, and that proficiency figures to earn him a fair share of starts this season.

De Aza is in the lineup and batting ninth for Friday's game against the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
De Aza, who is 0-for-7 to start the season, will receive the start in center field while Yoenis Cespedes moves to the DH spot. The 32-year-old hit .278 with seven home runs against right-handed pitching in 2015 and will look to break out of his slump against right-hander Cody Anderson.
