Cingrani struck out both of the batters he faced on his way to his first hold with the Dodgers in Thursday's win over the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran southpaw has now turned in two clean appearances with four strikeouts since his ugly debut with his new club (three earned runs) on Aug. 3. He is currently competing with Tony Watson -- who is experiencing his own struggles in Dodger blue -- for the right to serve as the club's top left-handed option out of the bullpen. Until he earns manager Dave Roberts' trust to work late innings, Cingrani and his 5.88 ERA remains a fringe fantasy option in holds leagues.

The Reds agreed to trade Cingrani to the Dodgers on Monday, Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Los Angeles acquired two lefties in Cingrani and Tony Watson in the final hour leading up to the trade deadline. Cingrani enjoyed a surprising amount of success as a starter in 2013 after breaking into the majors, but his heavy reliance on the fastball quickly caught up to him. While he's held lefties to a .219/.305/.407 line for his career, Cingrani has struggled out of the bullpen over the past several seasons and has been hit hard by same-handed hitters this year (.293/.326/.829).

Cingrani has given up 10 runs in his last 6.2 innings pitched.
EDGE Analysis
It's been a disastrous couple of weeks for Cingrani, who has given up at least one run in each of his last five outings and six of his last seven. After starting the season as the top left-handed reliever in Cincinnati, he has since lost that spot to Wandy Peralta, a title he won't be reclaiming anytime soon unless he can find a rhythm and break out of this slump.

Cingrani has given up three runs with nine strikeouts over 9.2 innings since coming off the disabled list in early June.
EDGE Analysis
The 27-year-old has already given up three home runs since his return on June 6, but has kept opponents off the board otherwise. Cingrani is likely the top left-hander in the Reds' bullpen, but has held right-handed hitters to a .226/.273/.387 slash line and is only rarely utilized as a left-handed specialist.

Cingrani (oblique) was activated from the disabled list Tuesday, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw has been out since late April due to a oblique injury, but he's finally ready for a return to the Reds' relief corps after a few rehab appearances. He'll resume his spot as one of the top lefties in Cincinnati's bullpen, replacing Lisalverto Bonilla on the active roster.

Cingrani (oblique) threw a scoreless inning with a walk for Triple-A Louisville on Thursday, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Bryan Price said he anticipates at least one more rehab outing before the team decides whether to activate him form the DL, but a return appears to be on the horizon. The southpaw had impressed through five appearances with the Reds before being sidelined, posting a 1.93 ERA over 4.2 innings out of the bullpen, so expect him to return to a major relief role once he gets healthy.

Cingrani (oblique) threw a scoreless inning in a rehab outing with Low-A Dayton on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Cingrani needed 24 pitches (13 strikes) to get through his first rehab appearance, ceding one walk and no hits. The lefty has been sidelined for more than a month with the oblique issue, so he'll likely need at least a couple more appearances in the minors before the Reds consider activating him.

Cingrani (oblique) will pitch in a rehab game Monday for High-A Dayton, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cingrani began the season in the Cincinnati bullpen, but a strained oblique paired with lingering soreness in the area has kept him on the shelf since mid-April. With a few successful bullpen sessions now under his belt, the left-hander will now be deployed in the minors, with a multiple game rehab schedule likely on tap.

Cingrani (oblique) had a scheduled bullpen session pushed back Friday after he had some lingering soreness from a previous throwing session, MLB.com's Mark Sheldon reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Reds were careful to say that Cingrani didn't have a setback, but rather a delay. "He doesn't have any real pain. He has kind of a little bit of achiness in the oblique," manager Bryan Price said. "No setback. Just kind of a part of the rehab." He doesn't have a set return date yet.

Cingrani (oblique) threw a 15-pitch bullpen session Tuesday, his first such session since going on the DL on April 21, MLB.com's Mark Sheldon reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cingrani might be close to beginning a rehab assignment - the Reds will determine that path shortly. "He threw a 15-pitch bullpen with no restriction," manager Bryan Price said. "The ball came out of his hand good. He didn't have any issues. So he'll progress and throw another bullpen on Friday."
