Cingrani notched his 15th save of the season by striking out one in a clean ninth inning Wednesday home contest against the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Wednesday marked the first time all season in which Cingrani picked up the save on back-to-back nights. He's now converted his last 10 save chances, and hasn't allowed a run in 15 of his last 18 appearances. The closer has fared much better at home this season, posting a 2.60 ERA compared to his 4.94 ERA on the road.

Cingrani picked up the loss Monday night against the Cardinals, giving up five runs on three hits, two walks and a hit-by-pitch, recording just two outs.
EDGE Analysis
The Reds have experienced so many rough losses at Busch Stadium, their house of horrors since the new stadium opened, but this was among the most surreal. It doesn't count as a blown save because the inning started with a 4-0 lead. The game ended when Ross Ohlendorf, who came in with the game 4-3, hit yet another batter after walking a batter with the bases loaded to tie the game.

Cingrani has come pretty close to abandoning his slider since the beginning of June, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports, throwing it just 3.7 percent of the time.
EDGE Analysis
In its place, Cingrani instead is throwing a splitter that's roughly five mph slower than his fastball, but he's throwing that just five percent of the time. Otherwise he's mostly just throwing his fastball, with good results - a 2.08 ERA over his last 20 appearances, beginning June 1.

Cingrani struck out one in a clean inning Wednesday against the Cubs to earn his 10th save of the season.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw's 12-pitch save was his most efficient in a while, and makes him 10-for-15 on the season. Cingrani lowered his ERA to 3.20 Wednesday, its lowest mark since May 17.

Cingrani pitched a scoreless inning while allowing a hit and a walk to notch his eighth save Friday at the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
Cingrani came on in the 11th inning to protect a two-run lead, and closed the door to earn his fifth save in his last six opportunities. After having his share of struggles in May, he's now held opponents without an earned run in eight of his nine appearances this June to lower his ERA to 3.77.

Cingrani recorded his sixth save in Friday's 2-1 victory over the A's, surrendering a hit over an inning.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old bounced back with his second straight scoreless outing after blowing yet another save, his fifth this season, earlier in the week against the Cardinals. Cingrani continues to be anything but a sure thing when called upon, but appears to have a grasp on the closer role for the time being.

Cingrani notched his fifth save with a clean inning in Saturday's 6-3 victory over the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old southpaw preserved the rousing victory for the Reds, which came on the strength of a three-run blast by Adam Duvall in the eighth inning. Cingrani now has back-to-back scoreless outings, after being touched up for three earned runs in less than an inning against the Rockies on May 30. He's been an adventure in the late innings, blowing three of four save opportunities at one point in May, but also amassing six holds in addition to his five saves.

Cingrani struck out the side, but also allowed a walk in a scoreless inning Saturday against the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old has converted only four of his eight save chances this season, and he rebounded nicely after blowing his last two opportunities. Cingrani has a 3.32 ERA, and all signs point toward him being the closer for the foreseeable future despite his struggles.
