Koehler (1-1) allowed three runs on six hits and two walks over six innings while striking out seven in Sunday's 7-3 win over the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
He looked headed for another defeat before the Marlins' offense erupted for six runs in the sixth inning to get Koehler his first win of the year. The right-hander served up another homer Sunday and has now surrendered six in 21 innings, fueling his rough 5.14 ERA. He'll try to keep the ball in the park in his next start Saturday at home against the Pirates.

Koehler (0-1) allowed five runs on seven hits (two home runs) while walking three and striking out five over four innings in Monday's 6-1 loss to the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
Long balls have been a problem for Koehler so far this year, as he's allowed five round-trippers in his first three starts. This was his worst outing of the trio, and his ERA is now up to 5.40. The 30-year-old is a below-average strikeout guy (career 6.8 K/9) but will give the Fish and fantasy owners in NL-only leagues innings. That's about all you can hope for with Koehler.

Koehler gave up three runs on five hits and two walks over six innings but came away with a no-decision in Wednesday's 5-4 loss to the Braves. He struck out one.
EDGE Analysis
He was touched up for two homers, but still left the game in line for a win before the Marlins bullpen fell apart late. Koehler threw 42 of 71 pitches for strikes, and shorter outings (and fewer decisions) could be the norm for all of Miami's starters this season given the way they've loaded up their relief corps. Koehler's next start will come Monday in Seattle.

Koehler took a no-decision after allowing one run on four hits and three walks while striking out four over five innings in Thursday's extra-inning win over the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
He was yanked for a pinch-hitter after throwing only 71 pitches, as Marlins manager Don Mattingly tried to bring home the tying run in a game that had already been delayed by rain once and would be again after the sixth inning. Koehler should be fresh for his next start Wednesday at home against the Braves.

Koehler allowed four runs, all unearned, on three hits and two walks while striking out seven over 5.2 innings during Monday's Grapefruit League game against the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
He cruised through the first four frames before a Derek Dietrich error in the fifth opened the floodgates. Koehler now has a 15:9 K:BB through 14.1 spring innings but posted a career-high 7.5 K/9 in 2016, which offers a better reflection of his strikeout potential. The 30-year-old should offer marginal value in deeper NL-only formats for his accumulated Ks and occasional wins, but he won't be an asset in ERA or WHIP.

Koehler will be the Marlins' No. 3 starter to begin the season, making his first start of the year April 6 in Washington, Tim Healey of the Sun-Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Despite a poor spring that includes an 8.31 ERA and 8:7 K:BB in 8.7 innings Koehler held onto a rotation spot primarily because he's done it before, as he's made 96 starts for the Marlins over the last three seasons. If his March struggles continue into April, though, the 30-year-old could be bumped aside once Jeff Locke (biceps) gets healthy.

Koehler allowed five runs on four hits and three walks over three innings, striking out five, in Sunday's Grapefruit League game against the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
His spring ERA now stands at a bloated 8.31, with a 2.08 WHIP, through four appearances and 8.2 innings. Koehler was thought to be the favorite for the Marlins' fifth starter spot coming into camp, but he's doing everything in his power so far to get the team to consider other options.

Koehler gave up three runs (two earned) on five hits and two walks while striking out one in Tuesday's Grapefruit League game against the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
He's now got a 4.76 ERA this spring through three appearances and 5.2 innings. Koehler was considered one of the favorites to round out the Marlins' revamped rotation this season, but he'll need to turn things around over the next few weeks to avoid getting relegated to long relief duty.

Koehler got the start in Wednesday's Grapefruit League game against the Astros, allowing one run on one hit and two walks over two innings with one strikeout.
EDGE Analysis
The 30-year-old posted a career worst 4.23 BB/9 and 1.47 WHIP last season, and Koehler will need to improve his control through the rest of spring training if he wants to remain in the competition for the Marlins' fifth starter job.

Koehler and the Marlins avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $5.75 million contract on Friday, Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Koehler's ratios last season -- a 4.33 ERA and 1.46 -- were unspectacular and both fell for the second year in a row, but he did start 30 games for the third straight season and finished the campaign with a career-best 33 starts. Koehler's dependability is more useful to the Marlins than it is to fantasy players, and he will need to cut down on the baserunners he gave up last year in order to be an option in standard leagues.
