Jenifer Langosch of MLB.com reports that Skip Schumaker (hamstring) "did not sound optimistic" after Wednesday's game about avoiding the disabled list. It's not clear when Schumaker injured himself, but clearly it's more than just a minor tweak. The Cardinals are really being tested by injuries, but they'll at least get Allen Craig (hamstring) back Friday. He seems likely to take Schumaker's spot on the roster.
