Markakis went 3-for-4 with a double in Friday's loss to the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
The Braves only managed four hits as a team, so to say Markakis was the only Atlanta player to figure out Dan Straily on the night would be an understatement. Markakis now sports a fantastic .409/.435/.621 slash line through 16 games in May with three homers, 12 RBI and 14 runs.

Markakis went 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBI in Wednesday's win over the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
The 34-year-old now has seven homers through 35 games after managing only eight long balls in all of 2017. Markakis is as locked in as any hitter in the league right now -- his .338/.419/.554 slash line isn't a product of an elevated BABIP, but rather a career-high 91 percent contact rate that's 10 points above his mark from last year -- and while pitchers will eventually adjust and he will cool down, he seems headed firmly for his first 20-plus home run campaign in a decade.

Markakis went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Saturday's 11-2 loss to the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
The Braves only managed seven hits on the day, but the red-hot Markakis wasn't to be denied. He's now hit safely in 12 straight games and racked up multiple hits in five straight, boosting his slash line on the season to a staggering .354/.439/.567. The last time he had an OPS over .746 was in 2012, however, so the 34-year-old will fall back to earth eventually.

Markakis went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer, a double and a walk in Thursday's win over the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Markakis scored an additional two runs and added another RBI to go with his two-run shot in the fifth inning that helped chase Mets starter Jason Vargas. The 34-year-old pushed his hitting streak to 10 games -- five of which have been multi-hit efforts -- with Thursday's performance, and he's now hitting an impressive .336/.429/.529 with five homers and 23 RBI through 30 games this season.

Markakis went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and three RBI in the Braves' 10-4 defeat to the Reds on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran outfielder has been turning back the clock to start the season and is now sporting a solid .301/.385/.458 slash line with three home runs through 83 at-bats. Markakis hasn't had an OPS over .800 since his age-28 season of 2012, so his current mark of .843 might not stay there all season. He's always hit for solid average and been a good on-base percentage guy, however, and he's also been providing solid counting stats in a hot-hitting Braves lineup.

Markakis went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI in Thursday's 12-to-4 win over the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
The Braves' bats have been electric this season, and the trend continued Thursday. Though the outfield seems suddenly crowded -- and this is with Ronald Acuna still at Triple-A -- Markakis is giving no reason for complaint, as he is slashing .292/.373/.417 across 72 at-bats. The 34-year-old's value is increased by him hitting clean-up in a line-up thats second in the majors in average (.271) and on base percentage (.351), meaning Markakis should be a steady source of runs and RBI for as long as he and the team continue to mash.

Markakis went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's win over the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
It was the veteran's second homer of the season, and Markakis has seven RBI through nine games as he takes advantage of his spot behind Freddie Freeman in the batting order. Markakis' .324/.419/.541 slash line will cool down, but he should remain a useful source of RBI in his current role.

Markakis went 1-for-5 with a strikeout, one home run, three RBI and one run scored Thursday against the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
Markakis' highest home run total over his past six seasons is 14, making it safe to say he isn't a formidable power hitter. While his ninth inning walk-off heroics are a nice story, they shouldn't be confused with fantasy value in most formats. His skill-set does still translate decently in points leagues thanks to his ability to hit doubles while also maintaining a relatively low strikeout rate. However, in traditional roto leagues his ownership should be limited to NL-only or very deep mixed leagues.

Markakis went 1-for-3 with a double in Friday's Grapefruit League game against the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran is now 8-for-15 to begin the spring, although Friday's double was his first extra-base hit. Markakis will start the season in one of Atlanta's outfield corners, and while it's been a decade since he put together a 20-homer campaign, his ability to get on base -- he's had an OBP lower than .342 only once in 12 seasons -- should set a good example for the Braves' collection of young hitting talent.

Markakis (personal) is starting in right field and batting cleanup Thursday against the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Markakis was back home in Baltimore and missed Wednesday's game against the Mets for personal reasons, but he was able to meet the team in Miami and is ready to go for Thursday's series opener against the Marlins. The 33-year-old, who owns a .276/.355/.388 line with eight homers in 156 games this season, will face Dillon Peters in his return to action.
