Markakis is not in the starting lineup Wednesday against the D-Backs.
EDGE Analysis
Southpaw Patrick Corbin is on the bump for Arizona, leading manager Brian Snitker to give his regular outfielder the day off. Markakis finds himself in a rut to begin the latter half of the 2017 season, slashing just .171/.244/.244 in 41 at-bats, but still leads the team with a .352 OBP. Sean Rodriguez takes his place in right field Wednesday.

Markakis is out of the lineup for Wednesday's matinee against the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
The lefty has gone 3-for-19 in five games since the All-Star break, lowering his monthly batting average to a measly .200. Danny Santana will fill in as the starting right fielder, but it's probably safe to expect Markakis back in the lineup Thursday, when the team begins an 11-game road trip.

Markakis went 2-for-4 with a double, a solo homer and two runs Saturday against the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
Markakis hit his fourth bomb of the year as part of a huge performance by the Braves offense. However, other than his .285 batting average, he offers very little upside in terms of fantasy production.

Markakis went 4-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBI in Thursday's win over the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
He got the Braves on the board in the bottom of the first inning with a two-run shot. Markakis now carries a .378/.451/.533 slash line over his last 11 games with two homers, nine RBI and nine runs, but he has only three home runs on the year and his fantasy value continues to be buoyed by an unsustainable .367 BABIP.

Markakis finished 1-for-3 with two RBI against the Marlins on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Markakis singled in two runs to give the Braves a 4-2 lead in their four-run seventh inning, as they went on to win 5-4. The 33-year-old now has four RBI in his last four games and is 7-for-16 in that span.

Wed 6/14/17 9:41 PM

Markakis went 3-for-4 with a walk, two runs scored and an RBI in Wednesday's 13-2 rout of the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran outfielder is now hitting .333 (13-for-39) over his last 10 games with a homer, six runs and 10 RBI. Markakis' lack of power doesn't make him an ideal fit for the No. 3 spot in the Braves' batting order, but he's still finding a way to be productive even without putting the ball over the fence on a regular basis.

Tue 6/13/17 9:56 AM

Markakis went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, two walks and three runs during Monday's win over Washington.
EDGE Analysis
Markakis is turning in a serviceable fantasy campaign with 34 RBI, 31 runs and a .285 batting average. Unfortunately, the 33-year-old veteran has just the two homers and no stolen bases. As a result, Markakis is a much better asset in points settings than in rotisserie formats.

Wed 6/7/17 11:08 PM

Markakis went 3-for-5 with three doubles, five RBI and a run in Wednesday's 14-1 rout of the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
As usual, Markakis has been hitting for reasonable average while producing minimally in the power department. He has just a single home run in 57 games this year, but that .289 average and those 31 RBI give the veteran right fielder some fantasy value in deeper formats.

Markakis is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Having started each the team's first 53 games this season, Markakis will head to the bench Sunday for a well-earned day of rest. Danny Santana will take over in right field in his stead. Expect to see the 33-year-old back in the starting lineup Monday against the Phillies.

Mon 5/29/17 10:14 AM

Markakis went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Sunday's loss to the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
The Braves only had seven hits in the game, but five of them came from Markakis and Matt Kemp. The 33-year-old right fielder has hit safely in 15 of his last 17 games, pushing his slash line on the season to .301/.376/.392.
