Mets signed RHP Kyle Farnsworth to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training. Farnsworth turns 38 in April and posted a 4.70 ERA and 28/10 K/BB ratio over 38 1/3 innings last season between the Rays and Pirates. The Mets don't have much experience in their bullpen, so the veteran right-hander should have a decent chance at cracking the Opening Day roster if he's healthy.

Zach Links of MLBTradeRumors.com reports that there are 6-8 teams with "varying degrees of interest" in Kyle Farnsworth. Farnsworth is looking for a major league deal, and it seems like he should be able to get one with a good number of clubs showing interest. Links adds that Brandon Lyon and Pat Neshek are "in a similar position" as Farnsworth. The interest is there, but their signings are not imminent.
