Loney is not in Monday's lineup against the Diamondbacks, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports.
EDGE Analysis
Much like Sunday, Loney's absence Monday likely relates to the left-handed Robbie Ray set to take the mound for the Diamondbacks. The start at first will instead go to Wilmer Flores, who will bat fifth for the Mets.

Loney is out of the lineup Sunday against the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
With the left-handed Clayton Richard taking the mound for San Diego, Loney will get the day off. Robbie Ray (another southpaw) is scheduled to start Monday when the Mets begin their series against the Diamondbacks, so it's quite possible that Loney could be out of the lineup two days in a row. During his absence, Wilmer Flores will move over to first and bat fifth.

Loney is out of the lineup Sunday against the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
After starting three straight games at first base, Loney will give way to Wilmer Flores, as lefty Clayton Richard will be taking the mound for the opposing Padres. Nothing out of the ordinary here, as Loney's career batting average is 45 points less against southpaws (.251) than right-handers (.296).

Loney is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
The Mets are going with a righty-heavy lineup against southpaw Robbie Ray on Wednesday, so Loney will start the game on the bench. After a several call-ups in recent weeks, the Mets now have enough depth on the left side of the infield to start giving Wilmer Flores starts at first base on a more consistent basis and he will indeed get the start there and hit fifth Wednesday.

EDGE Analysis
The 32-year-old first baseman will get his first day off since the All-Star break while Wilmer Flores starts at first base in his place. Loney is having a solid season for the Mets in Lucas Duda's absence, hitting .284/.342/.439 with four home runs and 16 RBI.

Loney went 2-for-4 with two runs scored in Sunday's win over the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
He continues to provide the Mets with a solid stick at first base, and Loney is now slashing .284/.342/.439 on the season. Lucas Duda (back) is only just beginning to resume baseball activities and hasn't yet been sent on a rehab assignment, so the starting job should remain Loney's for the foreseeable future.

Loney was a late add to Wednesday's lineup, the Star-Ledger's Maria Guardado reports.
EDGE Analysis
Asdrubal Cabrera was a late scratch, so Jose Reyes shifted to shortstop, Wilmer Flores shifted from first to third, and Loney got the start at first base. He is running out of time to get starts at first base, with Lucas Duda expected to return shortly after the All-Star break.

Wed 7/6/16 10:28 AM

Loney is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Loney arrived at the time when the Mets were plagued by injuries at the corner infield spots, and has effectively started every game since May 31 for manager Terry Collins. The arrival of Jose Reyes to play third base may indirectly cause Loney to lose occasional starts, as former everyday third baseman Wilmer Flores will be called upon to play first at times, as is the case Wednesday afternoon. Loney has made his case with a respectable .291/.348/.465 slash line for the Mets, but as the team gets healthier, his fantasy value is poised to decrease.
