Rodney (4-4) allowed four runs -- three earned -- while recording just a single out to blow his sixth save of the season during Saturday's loss to San Diego.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran had converted 15 consecutive saves before Saturday's implosion, and with Arizona sporting an active 15-3 record, Rodney's closer job is secure. His 4.68 ERA and 1.24 WHIP are nothing to write home about, but saves are more valuable than ever in September, and he's in line to continue piling them up.

Rodney struck out two in a perfect ninth inning Wednesday to record his 36th save of the season in a 3-1 win over the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
The 40-year-old now has a 1.89 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and 23:6 K:BB in 19 innings with a perfect 14-for-14 mark in save situations over the course of the second half. Rodney's erratic track record keeps him out of the ranks of elite fantasy closers, but he's pitching as well as any of them right now.

Rodney gave up one hit in a scoreless 10th inning Tuesday against the Dodgers to pick up his 35th save of the season.
EDGE Analysis
Relief pitching prospect Jimmie Sherfy recently picked up a two-inning save for the Diamondbacks, but that was because Rodney was unavailable after pitching in two straight games. Rodney is tied for fourth (with Roberto Osuna) in the majors with 35 saves, leading the likes of Craig Kimbrel, Corey Knebel, Edwin Diaz, Ken Giles and Wade Davis in that department.

Rodney struck out one batter in a clean ninth frame against the Dodgers on Wednesday to earn his 34th save of the season.
EDGE Analysis
Rodney needed just 11 pitches to put away the Dodgers after registering a 31-pitch save Tuesday night. He remains a perfect 12-for-12 on save opportunities since the All-Star break, a 15-inning stretch over which he owns an impressive 2.40 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 20:5 K:BB. While he's struggled at times this season, Rodney has kept a hold on the closer's role and looks like he could be en route to his first 40-save season since 2014.

Rodney gave up a run on two hits in the ninth inning Tuesday while striking out one but still came away with his 33rd save of the season in a 7-6 win over the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
He's now a perfect 11-for-11 on save chances in the second half, posting a 2.57 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 19:5 K:BB in 14 innings since the All-Star break. Rodney will have his nervous moments, but given his current pace the veteran closer looks like he'll have a shot at his third career 40-save season.

Rodney pitched a perfect ninth inning against the Giants on Saturday en route to his 32nd save of the season.
EDGE Analysis
Rodney made quick work of the heart of the order, retiring the side on nine pitches, with the final two outs come on strikeouts. He's been excellent in the second half, but Rodney has now pitched three straight days and five of the last six, so he figures to be unavailable for the series finale.

Rodney threw a scoreless ninth inning with a strikeout for his 31st save Friday against the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Since blowing consecutive saves on July 2 and July 6, Rodney is 9-for-9 in save chances with 15 strikeouts over 11.1 innings. He has been inconsistent in 2017, but he has had enough stretches of brilliance to keep hold of the Arizona closing job.

Rodney allowed two walks in a scoreless ninth inning Thursday against the Mets to earn his 30th save of the season.
EDGE Analysis
Rodney was able to work around a leadoff walk to convert his ninth straight save opportunity. The 40-year-old owns an unremarkable a 4.75 ERA and 1.27 WHIP through 41.2 innings this season, but his 30 saves and 49 strikeouts make him a valuable fantasy option for owners looking for help strictly in those categories.

Rodney needed just two pitches to record one out and his 29th save Tuesday against the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
The D-backs entered the ninth inning thinking they'd have no need for their closer, as they were nursing a 7-1 lead, but the Mets rallied to make it 7-4 before Rodney got the call to collect the final out. He did so with alacrity, getting rookie Gavin Cecchini to hit a grounder to third on an 0-1 pitch. While Rodney's ratios aren't helping fantasy owners much due to his tendency for the occasional implosion, he just keeps racking up saves.

Rodney collected his 28th save of the season despite allowing a solo home run during Monday's win over Arizona.
EDGE Analysis
There have been a few disastrous outings this season, but otherwise Rodney continues to get the job done for the D-backs. His 4.91 ERA and 1.26 WHIP are nothing to write home about, but the veteran has converted 28 of 33 save opportunities with a 10.9 K/9, and he has a firm grasp on his closer job.
