Rodney worked around two hits and a walk with one strikeout in a scoreless inning of work to earn his 24th save of the season Sunday against the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Working with a one-run lead, Rodney allowed the first man he faced to reach. Fortunately he was caught stealing soon after, because the veteran dangerously allowed two more men to reach before recording the final out. It hasn't been pretty all year for Rodney, who owns a 1.41 WHIP to go along with his 3.16 ERA, but he continues to get the call in save situations and could see plenty more if he remains with Minnesota through the end of the season.

Rodney struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Friday to record his 23rd save of the season in a 6-4 win over the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran closer made quick work of things, throwing eight of 11 pitches for strikes, which was likely a relief (pun very much intended) for the hardy fans who stuck around through nearly two-and-a-half hours worth of rain delays. Rodney's 3.24 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and six blown saves in 29 chances are far from elite, but unless he gets sent to a contender in a post-deadline waiver deal, the 41-year-old should at least be a steady source of saves for the rest of the season.

Rodney retired both batters he faced with one strikeout during Sunday's outing against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Rodney's outing was hardly notable aside from the fact that he was used in the fifth inning, after starter Fernando Romero faltered. His deployment seems even more odd considering the team coughed up a lead in the ninth inning before winning the game in extras. Despite this development, Rodney still seems to have a solid grasp on the team's closer role heading into the All-Star break.

Rodney struck out one and allowed one run on two hits but still secured his 19th save in Saturday's 5-4 win over Baltimore.
EDGE Analysis
Thankfully the Twins entered the ninth inning with a two-run cushion, as Jonathan Schoop -- who advanced to second base on fielder's indifference -- scored when Rodney allowed a two-out double to Jace Peterson. The 41-year-old has converted 19-of-24 save opportunities this season and has a 3.16 ERA and 1.28 WHIP with 35 strikeouts over 31.1 innings.

Rodney fired a perfect ninth inning to earn his 18th save Thursday, striking out two in the 5-2 win over the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Rodney had blown his last two save opportunities, walking two batters and allowing four hits over those two innings. He's now 18-for-23 in save chances this season with a 3.07 ERA and a firm grasp on the closer role in Minnesota. He's not the most consistent, but Rodney should continue being a productive fantasy asset.

Rodney was charged with the blown save Monday, allowing one run on three hits in an inning against the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
That's now back-to-back blown saves for Rodney after 15 straight successful conversions from late April to late June. That stretch built up a lot of good will and there has been nothing to suggest a role change is being considered after two shaky outings, but if Rodney can't right the ship, the Twins could eventually turn to Trevor Hildenberger in the ninth. Addison Reed was recently removed from the primary setup role.

Rodney struck out two batters but allowed a run on a hit and two walks in Thursday's 2-1 win over the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
It took the 41-year-old a whopping 35 pitches to escape the ninth inning, the most he's thrown in a single outing this season. Oddly enough, Rodney retired the first two batters he faced before unraveling. He still owns a solid 2.96 ERA in 27.1 innings and has a pretty firm grasp on his closing role in Minnesota.

Rodney threw a perfect ninth inning and struck out all three batters he faced in Sunday's 2-0 win over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
In his last five outing, Rodney has allowed just one hit in 4.1 scoreless innings, striking out nine batters in the process. He's now 17-for-20 in save chances with a 2.73 ERA on the year. After a 4.12 ERA in 183.1 innings from 2015-2017, the 41-year-old has turned back the clock and has one again become a reliable, full-time closer.

Rodney struck out the only batter he faced to collect his 15th save of the season in Friday's 6-3 win over Cleveland.
EDGE Analysis
The Twins took a 6-1 lead into the ninth inning, but after Trevor Rogers coughed up a couple of runs, manager Paul Molitor elected to take no chances and brought in his closer. The 41-year-old Rodney has converted 15 of 18 save chances this season, and his 3.09 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 23:9 K:BB through 23.1 innings would be solid numbers for a pitcher a decade younger.

Rodney allowed a run on three hits in 1.1 innings to earn his 11th save Sunday against the Royals. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Rodney came on in a three-run game with men on base in the eighth inning, allowing a run to score before he closed out the frame. He was spotted two more runs in the top half of the ninth, so a solo home run from Jorge Soler wasn't extremely consequantial. This was the first time Rodney had been scored upon in 11 outings and he's now converted nine consecutive save opportunities.
