GM Ruben Amaro Jr. has spoken to Brown about possibly moving him to right field next season, CSN Philly reports. The trade of Marlon Byrd to the Reds opened up a spot in right field for the Phillies. Moving Brown, who has been preparing for a possible move to right field this offseason, would allow the Phillies to platoon Grady Sizemore, Darin Ruf and Odubel Hererra in left field.

Brown is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Marlins, Jim Salisbury of CSN Philly reports. Brown returned to the lineup Monday following three days on the bench with an injured wrist. He is being held out again Wednesday, but there is no indication it's related to the injury. Darin Ruf is playing left field in his place and will bat sixth for the Phillies.

Brown (wrist) is back in the lineup Tuesday against the Marlins. A late scratch from last Friday's lineup due to tenderness in his right wrist, Brown ended up sitting for all three games of the weekend series against Oakland, though he was able to pinch hit in the finale. It seems the wrist is back close to full strength following Monday's off day, as Brown is penciled to man left and bat sixth Tuesday against right-hander Henderson Alvarez. Brown has collected six singles in 17 career at-bats against Alvarez.

Brown (wrist) is out of the starting lineup for the third straight game Sunday against the Athletics. Brown was a late scratch Friday due to wrist soreness, and will miss at least one more game as a result. Grady Sizemore will man left field in his stead for the second time in three games. Brown's ailment doesn't appear to be season-ending, so he'll likely look to rejoin the starting lineup Tuesday against the Marlins.

Brown slugged his 10th home run of the year Tuesday, while going 1-for-4 at the plate and adding a stolen base in the affair. It has been a season-long struggle for Brown, as he has just a .232/.284/.351 slash line in 444 at-bats this year. Unless he posts a dramatic turnaround next season, Brown's 2013 season might end up going down as the peak of his career.
