Ross was a late addition to Tuesday's lineup and he will bat eighth in the order in place of Miguel Montero (back), Carrie Muskat of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Montero was scratched Tuesday afternoon due to back stiffness, so Ross will get his first start since Friday. Ross has performed reasonably well at the dish thus far this season, slashing .250/.346/.450 with a home run, a double, and four RBI over 27 at-bats. He'll face Milwaukee's ace, Jimmy Nelson, on Tuesday and he could continue to start if Montero's back issues cause him to miss additional time.

Ross is in the lineup and batting eighth in Friday's game against the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
A day after catching his first career no hitter, picking off a runner at first base, and going 2-for-4 with a home run, walk, and three RBI, Ross returns to the lineup for his usual start with Jon Lester on the mound. Although Miguel Montero will continue to rack up the majority of the starts throughout the season, Ross is as hot as he's been in a while and will look to keep it going Friday.

Ross went 2-for-4 with a homer, a walk and three runs scored in a 16-0 blowout of the Reds on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
The backup backstop doesn't get a whole lot of opportunities to get in the lineup, but he took advantage of this one, helping starter Jake Arrieta get way more support than he needed as he no-hit the Reds. He'll still ride the pine while Miguel Montero catches most games.

Ross is in the lineup and hitting eighth for Thursday's game against the Reds, Mark Gonzalez of the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ross will get the start to give Miguel Montero some rest after he started three straight games against the Cardinals. With Jon Lester on the mound Friday, it is likely that Ross will get back-to-back starts this week, a rare occurrence for the 38-year-old. His fantasy value is limited as he is hitting just .214 this season.

Ross hit three doubles and drove in four in a victory over Colorado on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
While the offensive performance was nice, Jon Lester's personal catcher called a game that was an eventual 10-0 victory for the Cubs. Ross is hitting .357/.357/.750 this spring in 28 at-bats, but he's not likely to get enough plate appearances this season to be a viable fantasy option.

Ross plans to retire at the end of the 2016 season, the Cubs' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
He's hardly Derek Jeter or Kobe Bryant, but Ross is getting a nice sendoff from the Cubs at least, who have been teasing him by giving him a motorized cart as a retirement gift. On Friday, Ross made a diving catch to start an inning-ending double play. "Who's old? Who's grandpa now?" Ross joked after the game. He'll probably get just 100-150 at-bats at catcher this year, so his retirement announcement isn't going to be sending any fantasy shockwaves.

Ross is in the lineup Wednesday for Game 4 of the NLCS.
EDGE Analysis
Ross will replace Miguel Montero at catcher and hit ninth in the lineup as the Cubs look to avoid a sweep at the hands of the Mets on Wednesday. Montero did start the previous two games of the series, so it's likely he will slot back into the lineup Thursday if the Cubs force a Game 5.

Ross was activated from the family medical emergency list Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
He left the team last week to attend to a personal matter, but is back with the team in Chicago and will presumably be available off the bench Tuesday. Look for Ross to be back behind the plate Friday to handle his normal duties as Jon Lester's personal catcher.

Ross (personal) is not expected back for Jon Lester's start Saturday, Gordon Wittenmyer of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Cubs placed Ross on the family medical emergency list earlier in the week, and while he will be eligible to return Saturday, it sounds like he will remain away from the club for at least one more day. Miguel Montero is expected to man the backstop for Lester.

Ross was placed on the family medical emergency list Wednesday, Carrie Muskat of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
With his placement on the family medical emergency list, Ross will be forced to miss a minimum of three days and a maximum of seven days. Thus, it's still possible he could return to handle his normal duties as Jon Lester's personal catcher Saturday. Matt Szczur was recalled in a corresponding move.
