Gentry appears to have solidified a spot on the Orioles' Opening Day roster, Brittany Ghiroli of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
With the Orioles shipping out Alex Presley, Austin Hays and Joey Rickard to the minor-league ranks, Gentry is the lone outfielder left in big-league camp who can capably play all three spots. Since Adam Jones and Trey Mancini are seemingly locked into full-time roles, Gentry's main path to playing time will likely come in right field, where he or Anthony Santander could serve in a platoon with the lefty-hitting Colby Rasmus.

Gentry (hamstring) will start in center field and bat leadoff for the Orioles in Tuesday's Grapefruit League game against the Twins, Rich Dubroff of PressBoxonline.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Gentry will draw back into the lineup after being sidelined since Feb. 25 with left hamstring soreness. The week-plus absence won't completely derail Gentry's chances of winning an Opening Day bench gig with the Orioles, but even at full health, the 34-year-old was always facing lengthy odds due to his standing as a non-roster invitee.

Gentry (hamstring) will not play in a Grapefruit League contest until Tuesday as a precaution, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gentry is currently sidelined with left hamstring soreness that he suffered during Sunday's game against Boston. It doesn't appear as though there's any concern over his status but the club is electing to make sure he's fully recovered before returning to the field.

Gentry is dealing with left hamstring soreness and will be sidelined for a few days, Brittany Ghiroli of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gentry apparently picked up the ailment during Sunday's Grapefruit League game against the Red Sox. The good news is the issue doesn't appear to be anything that will keep him sidelined for too long. When he returns, Gentry will continue his quest to lock down an Opening Day role as a reserve outfielder, but he'll more likely open the year at Triple-A Norfolk as organizational depth.

Gentry agreed to a minor-league deal with Baltimore on Wednesday which includes an invitation to spring training, Bob Nightengale of USA Today Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gentry appeared in 77 games for the Orioles last season, hitting a pedestrian .257/.333/.386 with two home runs, 11 RBI and five stolen bases. The 34-year-old still has the ability to provide speed on the basepaths but the ceiling for Gentry in 2018 will be as a reserve that earns minimal time against left-handed pitching. Expect him to start the year off at Triple-A Norfolk while providing organizational depth for the club.

Gentry (finger) was activated from the 10-day disabled list Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Gentry is still recovering from a fractured finger he suffered at the beginning of the month, so while he can't play defense or swing a bat, he'll be available as a pinch runner down the stretch. The 33-year-old collected five steals in 117 plate appearances this season.

Manager Buck Showalter said Gentry (finger) will be activated from the 10-day disabled list after being cleared to pinch-run by a specialist, Eduardo A. Encina of The Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gentry fractured his finger at the beginning of the month, but it appears the injury won't keep him sidelined for the rest of the season. While he still can't play defense or swing a bat, the 33-year-old will be available as a pinch runner down the stretch if needed. He's compiled five steals in 117 plate appearances this season.

Gentry, who was placed on the 10-day disabled list Saturday with a fractured finger, will visit a hand specialist Sunday for further clarification on the severity of his injury, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
It will likely be at least multiple weeks before Gentry is cleared to swing a bat again, but the Orioles could choose to activate him when eligible Sept. 12 if doctors determine the injury isn't anything that would prevent him from serving as a pinch runner. Since the Orioles have a wealth of bench options on hand with rosters expanding Friday, the team wouldn't have any disincentive to activate Gentry, despite the significant restrictions he would likely face.

Gentry was placed on the 10-day DL on Saturday with a fractured finger.
EDGE Analysis
This essentially spells the end of Gentry's season. He finishes the year with a .257/.333/.386 slash line, two home runs and five steals in 117 plate appearances. The 33-year-old outfielder is a free agent this winter.

Gentry (finger) will see a hand specialist on Sunday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
He suffered what was labeled as a finger laceration in Friday's game, and it sounds like his season is in jeopardy. Gentry had been occupying a minor depth role for the O's, so his fantasy value is minimal.
