Manager Robin Ventura said Gillaspie should return to the lineup for the White Sox's doubleheader against the Orioles, the Chicago Tribune reports. Ventura went on to explain that he went with Gordon Beckham over Gillaspie in Toronto because he had concerns about Gillaspie playing on artificial turf given the plantar fascitis the latter has had in the background for much of the season. Gillaspie still technically sits atop the White Sox's depth chart at third, but Beckham will receive a stream of regular action.

Gillaspie is not in the lineup Wednesday for the third straight day. Gillaspie owns an .845 OPS this month, but manager Robin Ventura has decided to roll with Gordon Beckham at the hot corner early this week. The White Sox have not announced a depth chart change at third base, but it's worth keeping an eye on the situation if Gillaspie is part of your fantasy squad.

Gillaspie is out of the lineup Tuesday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Gillaspie has one extra-base hit and one walk in his last seven games and will make way for Gordon Beckham at third base Tuesday against the Blue Jays.

Gillaspie is not in the lineup Monday against the Blue Jays. It looks like nothing more than a scheduled day off for Gillaspie, who will give way to Gordon Beckham. Beckham will man third base and bat second in the order.

Gillaspie is not in the lineup Thursday against the Indians, Dan Hayes of CSN Chicago reports. Gillaspie has gotten most of his days off when the team faces a left-hander, but he'll stay on the bench even with the right-handed Danny Salazar going for the Indians on Thursday. Gordon Beckham will draw the start at third base in his stead, batting seventh.

Gillaspie is out of the lineup Sunday against the Athletics, Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune reports. Gillaspie seems to have settled back into the larger share of duties at third base, but he'll still likely sit most of the time when the White Sox face a left-handed starter, as is the case Sunday with Scott Kazmir on the mound for the opposition. Gordon Beckham will step in at the hot corner and bat sixth in the order for the Sox.

Gillaspie is out of the lineup Sunday against the Reds. Gillaspie will sit Sunday for the fourth time in five games, with Gordon Beckham receiving the start in his place. He hasn't been particularly bad at the plate, especially as of late, but appears to be losing playing time to Beckham. It's unclear if it will continue to be the case moving forward, but manager Robin Ventura looks to be comfortable using either option at third base.

Gillaspie is out of the lineup Friday, CSN Chicago's Dan Hayes reports. It's just a standard day off for Gillaspie, as Gordon Beckham gets the start at third. Neither player has had a particularly great season, so the White Sox will probably continue to ride Gillaspie most nights since he is the incumbent.

Gillaspie is out of the lineup Thursday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. He has been in the lineup most days for Chicago lately, but Gordon Beckham will man the hot corner Thursday. Gillaspie has three extra-base hits in his last four games but he is getting on base a sub-par .288 clip.

Gillaspie went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in the White Sox's win over the Tigers on Wednesday. The home run was Gillaspie's first of the season, and it was just his eighth extra-base hit in 66 plate appearances. Although he has been seeing the ball better at the plate lately (5-for-11 with three extra-base hits), he still yielded third base to Gordon Beckham when a left-handed reliever took the mound. Beckham should continue to eat into Gillaspie's playing time, regardless of the opposing pitchers' handedness.
