Coghlan will start in left field and bat ninth Monday against the Reds, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's the second straight starting nod in left field for Coghlan, who recorded a base hit across three at-bats Sunday against the Rangers. Coghlan is only hitting .224/.312/.299 on the season, but with Ezequiel Carrera struggling at the plate lately, manager John Gibbons could experiment with Coghlan in an everyday role in order to see if he can provide more of a spark at the bottom of the lineup.

Coghlan is not in the lineup Sunday against the Rays, Roger Mooney of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coghlan has started three of the last five games at the hot corner, but Sunday's absence will be the second game in a row the 31-year-old is out of the lineup. Manager John Gibbons will once again use Darwin barney at third base for the afternoon matchup.

Coghlan is out of the lineup Sunday against the Rays, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Though Coghlan looks like he'll see the larger portion of a platoon at third base with Darwin Barney for as long as Josh Donaldson (calf) remains on the disabled list, he'll give way to Darwin Barney on Sunday, even with a righty starting for the Rays in Chris Archer. With six hits in 28 at-bats this season, Coghlan will have to provide a little more offense to warrant a pickup outside of AL-only and very deep mixed leagues.

Coghlan is in the lineup for Game 1 of the Blue Jays' Thursday doubleheader with the Cardinals, batting sixth and playing third base, Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coghlan's had some success over his career against Cardinals' starter Carlos Martinez. The 31-year-old is 3-for-13 with a double, pair of RBI and four walks (.412 OBP) against the right-hander. Coghlan will likely head to the bench in favor of Darwin Barney -- or, possibly Russell Martin -- for Game 2 of the doubleheader.

Coghlan is batting seventh and playing third base for Saturday's game against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Coghlan will make his Blue Jays' debut despite going 5-for-23 over seven games with Triple-A Buffalo to begin the year. Nonetheless, with Josh Donaldson (calf) on the DL, it appears the 31-year-old journeyman will be in line for multiple starts down the line.

Coghlan was officially called up from Triple-A Buffalo on Friday, Mike Wilner of the Blue Jays Radio Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
As anticipated, the Blue Jays will have the veteran Coghlan return to the big leagues in order to take the roster spot of Josh Donaldson (calf). It seems like the 31-year-old will fill a reserve utility role for the time being.

Coghlan is leaving the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons to join the Blue Jays, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
The lefty utility bat had an opt-out clause in his contract at the end of April that he could've exercised if he didn't see the big-league roster. More importantly, however, his presence looks like it'll come in place of Josh Donaldson (calf), who's expected to be placed on the disabled list Friday. Coghlan may piece together at-bats at several locations to fill in during his absence, though fantasy interest will chiefly come from AL-only players.

Coghlan signed a minor league contract with the Blue Jays on Saturday, Toronto play-by-play announcer Mike Wilner reports.
EDGE Analysis
After being released by the Phillies earlier in the week, Coghlan will latch on with the Blue Jays and start the season with their Triple-A affiliate at Buffalo. Coghlan, 31, struggled at the plate last season (.188/.290/.318), but he adds defensive versatility that makes him a plug-and-play option in the infield or the outfield for manager John Gibbons if he ultimately gets called back up to the majors.

Coghlan was released by the Phillies on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
This comes as a bit of a surprise, as Coghlan was worth over three wins (3.3 fWAR) as recently as 2015. However, he struggled mightily in 2016, and hit just .231 with a .601 OPS in 39 at-bats this spring. He will look to catch on elsewhere in a utility role.

Coghlan can request his release if he is not added to the Phillies' roster by Sunday, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Phillies actually have 48 hours from Sunday to put Coghlan on their roster, presumably to give them time to make another roster move since they do not have an open spot on their 40-man roster. Coghlan could also request his immediate release Sunday to pursue another opportunity. He is competing with Brock Stassi, Daniel Nava and Jesmuel Valentin for one of two bench jobs.
