Ramirez is in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Reds. Ramirez sat out Tuesday for the second time in three days, but he was able to pinch hit in Tuesday's game, and his inclusion in Wednesday's lineup should calm any concerns of a potential injury. Ramirez, who tallied just his third RBI of the season Tuesday, will play third base and bat sixth Wednesday night.

Ramirez is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Reds. Ramirez's absence is puzzling given that he just had a day off Sunday, owns a 1.117 career OPS in 27 at-bats against Reds starter Jason Marquis, and would be one of few Brewers regulars in Tuesday's lineup, so it seems possible he is dealing with some unannounced health issue. However, he is still hitting just .130 on the season, so it's possible he is sitting again for performance reasons. Either way, Jason Rogers will man the hot corner for the Brewers on Tuesday night.

Ramirez will hit sixth in Monday's game against the Reds. Ramirez will start Monday after getting a day off Sunday, but he will hit lower in the order than he has in any other game this season. Ramirez owns just a .326 OPS through 11 games this season, so both the Brewers and fantasy owners alike will be hoping the batting order change provides him a spark.

Ramirez isn't in the lineup Sunday against the Pirates. Consider it a day of rest for Ramirez with the Brewers playing a day game after a night game. Given that he's 36 years old and retiring after the season, Ramirez will be afforded more frequent days off than the Brewers' other regulars, providing a built-in downgrade to his counting stats. Of course, he's not exactly delivered quality numbers when he's played this season, going 6-for-43 (.140) at the dish with one run and two RBI. Luis Jimenez will spell him in Sunday's lineup.

Ramirez is hitting 3-of-12 after the Brewers' opening series against Colorado. Ramirez has been a solid option for years, but his age and the fact that this is his final season creates a fair amount of risk. The 36-year-old could be worth checking up on in the next few weeks, even though Milwaukee doesn't have a ready backup in case he falls off.

Ramirez is 4-for-23 (.174) with two doubles and three RBI through 12 spring games. Ramirez has yet to get it going with the bat this spring, but he is locked in as the Brewers' starting third baseman as he heads into what is expected to be the final season of his career.

Ramirez was not with the team Wednesday as he deals with a personal matter, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Manager Ron Roenicke indicated that it was not a serious issue, so Ramirez shouldn't be away from the team too long. Consider him day-to-day, but it's possible the 36-year-old will be back in camp as early as Thursday.

Ramirez has said 2015 will be his final season in MLB, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. This will end a sterling career for Ramirez, in which he hit .285/.344/.496 across 17 seasons for the Pirates, Cubs, and Brewers. He's not a hall of famer, but you'd be hard-pressed to find someone that doesn't think Ramirez wasn't an above-average third baseman for the vast majority of his career.

Brewers manager Ron Roenicke suggested Saturday that Ramirez could receive more days off this season, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.Ramirez has battled injuries throughout his career and seemed to really wear down at the end of last season, posting a .715 OPS in the second half and a .217/.258/.293 batting line in September. At 36, it's likely best for Ramirez to sit at least once a week or so, though the Brewers don't really have any quality alternatives at third base. Luis Sardinas and Luis Jimenez could be options.

Ramirez accepted the $14 million mutual option with the Brewers on Monday, Andrew Gruman of Fox Sports Wisconsin reports. Ramirez's option was picked up by the Brewers on Friday, and he got three days to make his decision whether or not to accept the option. He should again take the majority of the starts at the hot corner for the team in 2015.
