Ramirez was scratched from Friday's lineup with lower-back tightness, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. There was no announcement of Ramirez's scratch prior Friday's game. Rather, Elian Herrera simply made his way out to third base for the top of the first inning. Ramirez's status for Saturday is uncertain, but the silver lining here is that it's not a setback with the hamstring injury that cost Ramirez some time last weekend.

Ramirez was a late scratch for Friday's game against the Cubs, Andrew Gruman of Fox Sports Wisconsin reports. It's unclear what caused him to be scratched Friday, but Elian Herrera will draw the start instead. The team should provide an update on his status at some point, but consider him day-to-day for now.

Ramirez returned to the lineup on Sunday against the Cubs and went 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBI and a walk. Ramirez missed the past two games with tightness in his hamstring, but showed no ill effects in his return. The 36-year-old got off to a slow start to the season, but looks to be heating up as he is now batting .423 with three home runs, eight RBI and five runs scored over his last nine games.

Ramirez (hamstring) is back in the lineup Sunday against the Cubs. The hamstring issue kept Ramirez unavailable for the prior two games of the series, with both Luis Jimenez and Hector Gomez receiving starts in his absence. Even when he isn't felled by injuries, Ramirez figures to receive more regular rest than most of the Brewers' other everyday players, which probably makes him a less reliable fantasy option than many of his peers at third base. It hasn't helped matters that Ramirez has gotten off to a rotten start to the season, as he's slashing .214/.236/.357 over 20 games.

Ramirez (hamstring) expects to return to the lineup Sunday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. The Brewers are holding Ramirez out again Saturday due a tight left hamstring, but the 36-year-old seems confident he'll miss just the two starts. He is batting .214/.236/.357 so far this season, but Ramirez has hit safely in seven of his last eight games, with two home runs over that span.

Ramirez (hamstring) is out of the lineup Saturday against the Cubs. A bout of left hamstring tightness resulted in Ramirez's scratch from Friday's lineup, and he'll be forced to miss at least one more start due to the ailment. Hector Gomez will get the start at third base, while Ramirez should be considered day-to-day ahead of Sunday's series finale against Chicago.

Ramirez has been scratched from Friday's game against the Cubs with left hamstring tightness. Scratches like this aren't too surprising for the 36-year-old Ramirez. He'll be replaced by Luis Jimenez for now, and check back Saturday to see if the injury is more of a long-term concern or just a discomfort for a single day.

Ramirez will return to the lineup and bat sixth for the Brewers on Monday. Ramirez simply received a maintenance day off Sunday as the day game after a night game. Despite his .197/.295/.197 batting line this season, the veteran third baseman has now collected hits in four of his last five games, and will look to add to the stretch Monday.

Ramirez is out of the lineup Sunday against the Cardinals. Ramirez will take a seat after starting at the hot corner in four straight games, giving way to Hector Gomez for the afternoon contest. Chalk this up as a regular maintenance day for the 36-year-old.

Ramirez went 1-for-3 with his first homer of the year in Thursday's win over the Reds. Nice to see the bomb from Aramis, who had managed only two extra-base hits in his first 51 at-bats this season, but he's still hitting just .167 with a 0:10 BB:K. He'll turn 37 years old in June and has been declining steadily, so it's not easy to feel much optimism about a sudden resurgence from Ramirez.
