Escobar (hamstring) is out of the lineup Sunday against the Angels, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Escobar was pulled from Saturday's game after experiencing tightness in his hamstring, prompting the team to send him in for an MRI a day later. The full extent of Escobar's injury won't be known until the results of the MRI are received, but the Angels aren't expecting the veteran infielder to require a stint on the disabled list, according to Pedro Moura of the Los Angeles Times. Luis Valbuena will cover third base Sunday while Escobar continues to recover.

Escobar was removed from Saturday's game with a hamstring cramp, Pedro Moura of the Los Angeles Times reports. Escobar is day-to-day and probably will miss a game or two.
EDGE Analysis
Escobar, who's hitting .272/.324/.411 in 170 plate appearances so far, probably will be replaced by Jefry Marte or Cliff Pennington for the time being. It's unfortunate timing: He's started off May hot, going 17-for-48 (.354) with three home runs, nine RBI and seven runs scored.

Escobar (undisclosed) was removed from the Angels' Saturday game, Pedro Moura of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The third baseman led off and was 1-for-3 with a single and run scored before his exit. Cliff Pennington replaced him on the defense before the top of the sixth inning. We'll have more on Escobar's exit when information is released.

Escobar went 1-for-5 with four RBI, including a three-run home run, in Tuesday's 7-3 win over the A's.
EDGE Analysis
That's now three homers in the last three games for Escobar, who's hitting .375/.394/.688 over the last week with eight RBI. This power surge isn't likely to last -- the 34-year-old last reached double digits in home runs back in 2011 -- but in a season where balls are flying over the fence at an incredible rate already, it's not out of the question that Escobar could challenge his previous career high of 14 homers.

Escobar went 2-for-4 with a pair of solo home runs in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
The light-hitting third baseman took advantage of a matchup against the most homer-prone pitcher in the majors, Mike Fiers, and took him deep twice. The two long balls only brought his season total up to four on the year, but he has been seeing the ball well at the plate recently, collecting multiple hits in five of his last seven games. Escobar's lack of power and speed won't excite many standard-league owners, but his recent hot stretch makes him worth rostering until he cools off.

Escobar collected four singles in five plate appearances in an 11-3 loss to the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
It was a rough day for the Mike Trout-less Angels, but the veteran third baseman was the lone bright spot in the box score. After enduring a prolonged slump at the end of April, Escobar has gone 9-for-20 over his last four games, raising his batting average to .262 in the process.

Escobar went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 6-3 win over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
The light-hitting third baseman took advantage of favorable hitting conditions at Globe Life Park, sparking the Angels' offense with a leadoff homer off of Nick Martinez. Friday's homer was the first sign of life from Escobar after going 2-for-29 over his last seven games. The 34-year-old continues to sit atop the lineup despite posting a sub-par batting average (.235) and on-base percentage (.286). Escobar has batted over .300 over the past two seasons, so there is a good chance he turns things around, but he simply isn't providing enough in any standard fantasy category that warrants a roster spot outside of deep leagues.

Escobar is out of the lineup Sunday against the Blue Jays, Pedro Moura of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Escobar was removed early from Friday's series opener after experiencing dizziness, but returned to the lineup Saturday, going 0-for-4. It appears he's just getting rested Sunday for the first time all season, so Escobar's health looks to be on solid ground entering the upcoming week. Jefry Marte will cover third base in Escobar's place Sunday.

Escobar left Friday's game in the sixth inning with an apparent injury, Maria Guardado of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's unclear what, if any, injury Escobar sustained. Earlier in the sixth inning, Escobar was nearly hit by a pitch, and it wasn't apparent if he sustained an injury on the pitch or when he fell down in an attempt to avoid it (or sell to the umpire that the ball hit him). This is a weird one; one reporter called it a "non-contact upper body injury." We'll keep an eye out for updates. Cliff Pennington replaced him at third base and would be the likely short-term replacement should Escobar miss time.

Escobar went 2-for-4 with the Angels' only RBI in a 5-1 loss to Houston.
EDGE Analysis
The RBI was Escobar's fifth of the season, putting him on pace to finish just under 50 on the year. The 35-year-old won't generate many RBI opportunities while batting leadoff, but he should be able to challenge his career-high mark of 89 runs if he continues to keep his batting average north of .300 this season.
