Luis Valbuena will cover third base Sunday while Escobar continues to recover.

Escobar's lack of power and speed won't excite many standard-league owners, but his recent hot stretch makes him worth rostering until he cools off.

Escobar collected four singles in five plate appearances in an 11-3 loss to the Mariners.

It was a rough day for the Mike Trout-less Angels, but the veteran third baseman was the lone bright spot in the box score. After enduring a prolonged slump at the end of April, Escobar has gone 9-for-20 over his last four games, raising his batting average to .262 in the process.

Escobar has batted over .300 over the past two seasons, so there is a good chance he turns things around, but he simply isn't providing enough in any standard fantasy category that warrants a roster spot outside of deep leagues.
