Bauer (7-5) earned the win over Arizona on Friday, pitching seven scoreless innings during which he allowed three hits and three walks while striking out eight.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander rebounded from his worst start of the season last weekend against Texas with one of his best, holding the hapless Diamondbacks without a run over seven frames. Bauer continued to demonstrate the durability of his arm -- his 115 pitches Friday upped his MLB lead to 1,587 total pitches on the season, helping him post a league-best 12 quality starts. Bauer also ranks third in the league with 119 strikeouts and has complemented the impressive counting stats with a 2.45 ERA and 0.94 WHIP. His next start is expected to come on the road against the Padres next week.

Bauer (6-5) lost Saturday's 12-1 defeat at the hands of Texas, allowing six runs (four earned) on nine hits and two walks with eight strikeouts in 6.1 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Bauer allowed two runs apiece in the third, fourth and seventh innings to run his total to a season-high six surrendered in addition to a peak 11 baserunners permitted. The poor outing is a blip for the consistent Bauer whose ERA is still a solid 2.64 and he lines up to face Arizona on Friday.

Bauer (6-4) gave up three runs on six hits and four walks with seven strikeouts in six innings, taking the loss Sunday versus Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
Of the six hits he allowed, three were doubles and two of those knocked in runs. Bauer has put in quality starts in five of his last six starts. The right-hander has a 2.40 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 103:27 K:BB across 82.1 innings this year. He'll try to display better control in his next start, tentatively scheduled for next weekend at home versus Texas.

Bauer (6-3) gave up four runs (three earned) on five hits (three home runs) and a walk while fanning five in Monday's win over the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Bauer might have clinched the win Monday, but it was due more to the run support he received than his dominance on the mound. The three homers he allowed represent a season-worst mark, and he seems to be trending in the wrong direction of late. Over his last two appearances, Bauer has allowed six runs (five earned) with an 8:5 K:BB across 12.2 innings of work. He'll try to bounce back in his next start, scheduled for Sunday against the Braves on the road.

Bauer (5-3) was charged with the loss against Houston on Wednesday, pitching six innings and allowing two runs on four hits and four walks while striking out three.
EDGE Analysis
Bauer wasn't in peak form Wednesday -- his four walks tied a season high and his three strikeouts were easily a season low -- but he gutted out six innings and kept the Dodgers within striking range. The right-hander threw 100 pitches -- only 56 of which were strikes -- and induced 13 swings-and-misses. Bauer has registered three straight quality starts and is tied for the MLB lead with nine such performances this season. He'll carry a superb 2.07 ERA into his next start, which is expected to come at home against the Cardinals early next week.

Bauer (5-2) earned the win over San Francisco on Friday, tossing 6.1 innings and allowing one unearned run on two hits and four walks while striking out 11.
EDGE Analysis
Bauer threw a whopping 126 pitches in the appearance -- the most by any pitcher in MLB this season -- but was dominant throughout the contest and punctuated his outing by striking out the final batter he faced. The right-hander tied his season high with four walks but also notched a season-high 11 strikeouts. Bauer lowered his ERA to 1.98 on the season and now ranks second in the league with 88 punchouts. His next start is projected to be on the road against the Astros on Wednesday.

Bauer will be pushed back one day to start Friday at San Francisco, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander originally lined up to start Thursday versus the Diamondbacks, but he'll be pushed back a day after manager Dave Roberts said it's a move he was considering earlier in the week. Bauer has a 2.20 ERA, 0.75 WHIP and 77:14 K:BB over 57.1 innings and will receive an extra day of rest before pitching against the Giants

Manager Dave Roberts stated Tuesday that the team is considering moving Bauer's next start to Friday versus the Giants, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bauer lines up to pitch the finale of a three-game set against Arizona on Thursday, but the team may instead prefer to have him open a three-game road series against the first-place Giants on Friday. The right-hander has followed up his Cy Young award-winning 2020 campaign with a strong beginning to his tenure with the Dodgers, registering a 2.20 ERA, 0.75 WHIP and 77:14 K:BB across 57.1 innings. If his start does get pushed back, Los Angeles is likely to go with a bullpen game Thursday.

Bauer (4-2) earned the win over the Marlins on Saturday, allowing just two hits over seven scoreless innings. He struck out 10 and did not issue a walk.
EDGE Analysis
Bauer is following up his NL Cy Young campaign in stellar fashion, posting a 2.20 ERA, 0.75 WHIP and 77:14 K:BB through nine starts in Dodger Blue. His 35.5 percent strikeout rate ranks sixth among qualified starters. Nothing has come of the investigation Major League Baseball started after multiple "suspicious baseballs" were collected during one of Bauer's starts in early April, and at this point it's difficult to imagine anything ever coming of it.

Bauer (3-2) allowed two earned runs on four hits and two walks while striking out nine across six innings, taking the loss to the Angels on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Bauer struggled to get through the third inning, issuing two walks and surrendering three hits for two runs to score. In the other five innings, he allowed just one single. He is a high-strikeout threat with a 12.0 K/9, which is third-highest in the National League. The 30-year-old has a 2.50 ERA and 0.81 WHIP in 50.1 innings. The only concerning aspect of his game this season is his 1.4 HR/9.
