Castro will start at third base and bat fifth Wednesday against the Mets, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Though the arrival of prospect Isan Diaz pushed him off the keystone, Castro looks like he'll maintain a near-everyday role while sliding over to the hot corner. He'll start at the position for the third time in four games and probably won't face a serious threat for the job until Neil Walker (finger) returns from the 10-day injured list or unless the Marlins decide to move Brian Anderson back from the outfield at any point.

Castro will start at third base and bat fifth Monday in the first game of the Marlins' doubleheader with the Mets, Andre Fernandez of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Castro made each of his 109 starts in the field this season at second base, but he'll now have to look elsewhere for playing time with the Marlins recalling well-regarded prospect Isan Diaz from Triple-A New Orleans to step in as the everyday option at the keystone. Though Castro played shortstop earlier in his career with the Cubs and Yankees, he lacks the range to handle the position at this stage of his career, making third base his most logical path to playing time. The Marlins have a vacancy at the hot corner after placing Neil Walker (finger) on the 10-day injured list, but Castro will likely still face a challenge for utility man Jon Berti for regular action at that spot.

Castro will start at second base and bat fifth Thursday against the Twins, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Marlins were actively shopping Castro ahead of Wednesday's trade deadline, but no market ever really emerged for a player whose .268 wOBA ranks dead-last among qualified hitters this season. While Castro will stick around as the Marlins' everyday second baseman for now, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com predicts that the veteran will move into more of a utility role before the end of the season, as middle-infield prospect Isan Diaz is expected to receive a callup from Triple-A New Orleans at some point in the coming weeks and seize a full-time gig once he arrives.

Castro went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's 10-6 loss to the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Castro went deep in the seventh inning off Dodgers reliever JT Chargois. He reached again after getting hit by a pitch in the eighth inning, but was caught out on a fielder's choice during the Marlins' game-tying rally. Castro has eight homers, 42 RBI and 27 runs scored this season. He's been hot as of late, hitting .357 (15-for-42) with three homers, eight RBI and five runs scored over his last 10 games.

Castro went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and a stolen base in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
His solo shot to lead off the eighth inning broke up Chris Paddack's bid for a no-hitter, and Castro then drove in the Marlins' second run in the ninth with a single off Kirby Yates, after a couple of throwing errors had created a jam for the Padres closer. Castro extended his hitting streak to 11 games in the process, and he's slashing a lively .319/.331/.483 over his last 28 contests.

Castro went 2-for-5 with a triple and three RBI on Tuesday against the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Castro delivered a bases-loaded triple in the bottom of the sixth inning, accounting for all of his production Tuesday. Though he's still delivering a subpar .252/.278/.350 line across 389 plate appearances, Castro has has managed six multi-hit efforts in his last eight starts. However, that hasn't translated to a lot of production as he's managed just five RBI and three runs scored in that span.

Castro went 3-for-5 with a double in Thursday's loss to the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
Despite recording three hits, Castro failed to register any sort of counting stats thanks to an ineffective Marlins lineup. The 29-year-old's slash line of .237/.265/.320 is the lowest of his career, and his meager 22 runs and 33 RBI showcase the team's inability to produce offense when Castro does reach base.

Castro went 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI in Sunday's win over the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
He's now hit safely in 10 of his last 11 games, batting .311 (14-for-45) over that stretch with a homer, two runs and five RBI -- poor production that's as much a result of the weak lineup around him as it is Castro's own lack of power. On the year, the 29-year-old is slashing just .238/.268/.321 with five homers and 32 RBI in 76 games.

Castro went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 6-0 win over the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
His fifth-inning shot off Jack Flaherty would give Jordan Yamamoto and the Marlins bullpen all the offense they would need on the night, although the club tacked on plenty of insurance. Castro has a modest six-game hitting streak going, but it's been a punchless one -- Tuesday's homer was his first since June 4, and the second baseman has only five on the year.

Castro went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Friday's loss to the Braves.
EDGE Analysis
Castro prevented the shutout by plating a run in the bottom of the ninth on an infield single. He's been productive at the plate over his last 10 games, driving in 13 runs while registering six extra-base hits during that span.
