Castro has gone 8-for-23 (.348) with a double, a triple and a home run through nine Grapefruit League games this spring.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran infielder has also put together a solid 2:4 BB:K. Castro is slotted in as the Nats' starting second baseman this season after his 2020 campaign was cut short due to a wrist injury, and while he'll likely spend most of his time hitting in the bottom half of the order, he should be a useful stat compiler for fantasy purposes.

Castro (wrist) is considered fully healthy and wanted to play winter ball, but the Nationals told him to rest and prepare for spring training instead, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Castro appeared in just 16 games last season, hitting a passable .267/.302/.450, before fracturing his wrist. He underwent surgery in August but has evidently completed his recovery. A fully healthy version of Castro is a useful but somewhat unexciting player, as he's produced a wRC+ within a narrow band from 91 to 101 in each of the last three seasons.

Castro (wrist) was transferred to the 45-day injured list Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The 30-year-old fractured his right wrist Aug. 14 and elected to undergo surgery shortly thereafter. Castro hasn't been provided an official timetable for his return, but he won't be eligible to be activated until the end of September.

Castro will have surgery to repair his broken right wrist, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Castro broke his wrist while making a diving play Friday, and the injury should sideline him for the remainder of the regular season. The 30-year-old told manager Dave Martinez that he'd be ready if the Nationals were to make the playoffs. Luis Garcia should continue to see the bulk of the playing time at second base.

Castro was placed on the 10-day injured list with a broken right wrist Friday, Brittany Ghiroli of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Castro underwent X-rays after hurting his wrist while making a diving play Friday, and he'll be sidelined as a result. It's unclear when he might return from the injured list, but Luis Garcia's contract was selected by the Nationals on Friday, and he could see time at second base in Castro's absence.

Castro suffered a right wrist injury in the conclusion of the Nationals' suspended game Friday, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Castro hurt his wrist while diving Friday, and manager Dave Martinez said that he's undergoing X-rays. The results of the X-rays aren't yet known, but Luis Garcia will reportedly be called up to replace Castro as the starting second baseman during the Nationals' originally scheduled game Friday.

Castro went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's loss to the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
His eighth-inning blast was too little, too late for the Nats in an 11-6 loss. Castro's impressive .304/.328/.500 slash line has only resulted in two homers and four RBI through 15 games, but the veteran infielder has scored nine runs to bolster his fantasy value.

Castro went 4-for-5 with a double and two runs scored Thursday against the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Castro returned to the third spot in the order after hitting sixth in the team's previous two games. He responded with his second multi-hit performance of the season, and also clubbed his second double of the campaign to lead off the fifth inning. After this strong performance, Casto has reached base 10 times in his first 26 plate appearances.

Castro hit sixth during Tuesday's loss to the Blue Jays, going 1-for-3.
EDGE Analysis
The Nats' offense as a whole has been struggling out of the gate, and with Juan Soto (illness) temporarily sidelined, manager Dave Martinez has juggled things around to try and provide a spark. Castro hasn't really been part of the problem though, hitting .294 (5-for-17) through five games with a .471 slugging percentage. His DFS appeal takes a hit lower in the order, but so long as the veteran infielder keeps raking, he should work his way back up into a more prominent spot.

Castro appears to be manager Dave Martinez's first choice to fill the third spot in the Nationals' batting order, Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Martinez could shuffle things around against tough right-handers, but otherwise Castro seems like he will be hitting behind Trea Turner and Adam Eaton, and ahead of Juan Soto and Howie Kendrick -- potentially a very lucrative spot in the order when it comes to amassing RBI and runs. He won't fully replace Anthony Rendon's production, but Castro did post career highs in homers (22) and RBI (86) last season with the Marlins and now has a much better lineup around him.
