Flaherty will report to extended spring training after receiving a PRP injection in his shoulder Monday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
This pretty much confirms Flaherty will be sidelined for longer than the minimum ten days, as his new timetable has him sidelined for at least 2-to-3 weeks. Flaherty wasn't doing much before the injury, as he was slashing just .233/.324/.267 with a measly three RBI, so this isn't too big of a loss fantasy-wise. Paul Janish will serve as the Orioles' utility infielder with Flaherty on the shelf.

Flaherty, who was placed on the 10-day DL Sunday with right shoulder inflammation, is likely to need longer than the minimum DL stint before returning, the Associated Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Buck Showalter said his utility man "could very possibly" need longer than 10 days to recover. The injury news came as a surprise, but obviously Flaherty is dealing with a somewhat serious ailment. He wasn't exactly offering much fantasy value before the injury, hitting just .233/.324/.267 over just 13 games. Before landing on the DL, Flaherty was on pace to log a career-low 116 at-bats this season.

Flaherty was placed on the 10-day disabled list Sunday with a right shoulder strain.
EDGE Analysis
This is the first news of Flaherty dealing with an injury, though it appears that the ailment is significant enough to land him on the DL. The Orioles have selected the contract of Paul Janish from Triple-A Norfolk to fill in as a utility infielder while Flaherty is on the shelf.

Flaherty is batting seventh and playing third base Thursday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
The utility infielder is replacing Manny Machado, who's day-to-day with a sore right index finger. Flaherty will match up with the Tigers' Jordan Zimmerman and will at least have a chance to help AL-only fantasy players.

Flaherty went 0-for-4, dropping his average to .150 on the year, in Sunday's contest against the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
A favorite of manager Buck Showalter, the veteran utility man is off to a career-worst start. He's played in just nine games, including the team's last two, and is just 3-for-20 with a disappointing .411 OPS. Flaherty's never been a fantasy stud, but his position eligibility has made him roster-worthy in the past. That is not the case in 2017, and for now, the 30-year-old is best left on waivers across the large majority of formats.

Flaherty is in the starting lineup for the first time this season Saturday, batting ninth and playing shortstop.
EDGE Analysis
He provides a rest day for regular shortstop J.J. Hardy, who has been struggling recently. Of note, Flaherty is 3-for-9 with two home runs in his career against Toronto starter Marco Estrada.

Flaherty will play in his first game since March 13 on Friday, Roch Kubatko of MASN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Flaherty has missed a good amount of spring dealing with shoulder and arm issues, playing in just 10 games and going 3-for-25 (.120) in camp. Barring any further setbacks, the 25-year-old is slated to open the season as the Orioles' primary backup infielder.

Flaherty (shoulder) won't return to game action until Friday, MASN's Roch Kubatko reports.
EDGE Analysis
His shoulder is apparantly fine, but he will not return Tuesday as expected, and will instead wait until after the team's off day Thursday. Flaherty projects to open the season as the Orioles' primary backup infielder.

Flaherty (shoulder) is scheduled to play in Tuesday's Grapefruit League game against the Blue Jays, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Orioles were initially hopeful that Flaherty would be able to take the field Monday, but they'll push back his return to action one day just to afford him a little extra recovery time from the cortisone shot he received in his shoulder last week. The shot apparently did wonders in alleviating the soreness Flaherty was experiencing, so he looks at little risk of missing the start of the season.

Flaherty (shoulder) is expected to return to the lineup Monday against the Red Sox, Rich Dubroff of PressBoxOnline.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran utility man received a cortisone shot in his ailing shoulder Monday, but the Orioles are expecting him to return to game action in the near future. Flaherty has gone just 3-for-25 this spring, but his defensive versatility helps his chances at cracking the Orioles' Opening Day roster.
