Flaherty is not in the lineup against the Cubs on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Flaherty will retreat to the bench after going 3-for-5 during Friday's victory. The 31-year-old remains hot at the plate, as he's now slashing .366/.458/.463 with four doubles and three RBI in 12 appearances this season. In his place, Charlie Culberson draws a start at third base.

Flaherty is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
After getting off to a blistering start over the Braves' first eight games with a 12-for-29 showing at the dish, Flaherty's bat is finally starting to cool down. Following a back-to-back 0-for-3 performances in the first two games of the series, Flaherty will be rested on getaway day, despite a right-handed pitcher (A.J. Cole) twirling for the Nationals. Charlie Culberson will pick up the start at the hot corner in Flaherty's stead.

Flaherty is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
Flaherty has been the Braves' everyday third baseman in Johan Camargo's (oblique) absence, but he'll receive his first day off this season against lefty Kyle Freeland and the Rockies. Charlie Culberson will take over at third base, batting seventh.

Flaherty collected two hits and an RBI in Saturday's loss to the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran's RBI came at a crucial point for Atlanta, as he tied the game in the ninth inning against closer Wade Davis. Flaherty is playing well in his starting stint, as he is now 12-for-29 (.414) with three RBI. With Johan Camargo (oblique) expected to stay on his rehab assignment until next weekend, Flaherty will get his fair share of chances to continue his strong start at the dish.

Flaherty will start at third base and bat seventh Wednesday against the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
With six starts in as many games this season, Flaherty has clearly emerged as the preferred option at the hot corner over Charlie Culberson, but both players will serve as utility infielders before long. Johan Camargo (oblique) is slated to begin a rehab assignment at High-A Florida this week and could return from the disabled list in the coming days, at which point he would likely assume an everyday role at third base for the big club. Flaherty has at least been a quality replacement while Camargo has been on the shelf, going 9-for-19 (.474 average) with five runs and an RBI through the Braves' first five contests.

Flaherty agreed to a major-league deal with the Braves on Sunday, David O'Brien of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
EDGE Analysis
Flaherty has found a new home just three days after being granted his release from Philadelphia. The 31-year-old hit just .211 in his 43 plate appearances with the Orioles last season but has the ability to play nearly every position on the field. He'll likely be utilized in a true super-utility bench role with his new club.

Flaherty was released by Philadelphia on Thursday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Flaherty decided to opt out of his minor-league deal with the Phillies once it became apparent the team was going to keep him off the Opening Day roster. The utility man had an impressive spring camp after missing a majority of the 2017 season with a right shoulder injury while hitting just .211 in 23 contests. He should be able to latch on with another organization in the coming days.

Flaherty is expected to exercise the opt-out clause in his contract, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Flaherty was competing for a reserve spot on the Phillies' Opening Day roster. The team will now have one day to add the utility infielder to their roster or grant his release. Flaherty was sporting a .903 OPS through 41 plate appearances this spring.

Flaherty signed a minor-league contract with the Phillies on Wednesday which includes an invitation to spring training, Jerry Crasnick of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
2017 was a forgettable year for Flaherty; the 31-year-old missed a majority of the season with a right shoulder injury and struggled to a .211/.302/.237 line in his limited appearances (23 games). His versatility on defense will allow him to compete for an Opening Day roster spot as the Phillies' utility man, but given his .215/.284/.355 career slash-line across six seasons with the Orioles, he doesn't figure to make much of an impact at the major-league level this season.

Flaherty will get a start in right while batting ninth for Wednesday's game against Oakland.
EDGE Analysis
This marks the first start for Flaherty since coming off the 60-day disabled list (shoulder) Thursday. The utility man was out since mid-May with the injury, and hasn't recorded an at-bat at the major-league level since. Moving forward, Flaherty will continue to serve as infield depth while possibly getting an opportunity to start once or twice a week.
