Phillies GM Ruben Amaro Jr. said Monday that Roy Halladay (shoulder) is "in position" to make his next start. Halladay saw a doctor on Friday after experiencing mild muscle spasms in his right shoulder, then got rocked for seven run in just 1 2/3 innings Saturday against the Braves. "It's taken a little bit of a toll on him," Amaro told reporters. "We'll talk to the doctors today or tomorrow to see if we're risking any injury."

Roy Halladay saw a doctor on Friday after experiencing mild spasms in his right shoulder. Halladay did not have an MRI on his shoulder and fully believes that he'll be able to finish the season. It's clear from Saturday's disaster against the Braves, though, that he isn't close to being right. The 77-75 Phillies might be wise to simply shut him down.

Roy Halladay was hammered in Saturday's loss to the Braves, allowing seven runs on five hits and three walks in just 1 2/3 innings of work. Halladay struck out three in the extremely short outing. Freddie Freeman got the scoring started with a three-run bomb in the first inning, and Jason Heyward smacked a three-run double in the second frame to provide the majority of the damage. He has uncharacteristically struggled this season, compiling a pedestrian 10-8 record, 4.40 ERA and 125/33 K/BB ratio in 151 1/3 innings. He'll attempt to get back on track when he takes on the Marlins in Miami on Friday.

Roy Halladay was not sharp mediocre in Tuesday's victory over the Marlins, allowing five runs on seven hits over 6 1/3 innings. Halladay racked up six strikeouts but walked three. Luckily for him, the Phillies offense provided plenty of support in the game and he was able to escape with the victory. He'll take a 10-7 record, 4.01 ERA and 115/28 K/BB ratio into Sunday's start against the Astros in Houston.

Roy Halladay pitched 7 1/3 innings of one-run ball to defeat the Reds on Wednesday. Halladay got 10 outs on the ground and five via the strikeout in one of his best outings since coming off the disabled list after the All-Star break. He's 5-2 with a 3.74 ERA in 10 second-half starts.

Roy Halladay wasn't at his best Monday but evened his record at 7-7 anyway, allowing five runs on 10 hits and a walk over seven innings in a 12-5 victory over the Reds. He struck out three batters and also allowed a trio of doubles. It's Halladay's worst effort in his last five outings, but, luckily for him, Mike Leake was much worse. Doc will take a 3.95 ERA and 1.08 WHIP into this weekend's start against the Nationals.

Roy Halladay allowed three runs over seven innings and struck out seven in a loss to the Marlins on Wednesday. The Marlins offense was up to 30 straight scoreless innings before finally breaking through in the fourth inning against Halladay today. Miami ended up scoring nine runs, but six of those came off the bullpen in the eighth. Halladay has allowed four runs in 22 innings in his three starts this month.

Roy Halladay allowed three runs on six hits in six innings of Sunday's loss to the Braves. He struck out seven and walked one. Halladay settled down after a rough start (three runs in his first three innings), but was still having trouble with his usually pinpoint location. His velocity remained down, as well. It's becoming increasingly less clear if we'll see the "real" Doc down the stretch. Through 89 1/3 innings, Halladay is now the owner of a 4.43 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 72/16 K/BB ratio. He'll get the Diamondbacks at home next weekend.

In his return from the disabled list Tuesday, Roy Halladay kept the Phillies in the game against the Dodgers, allowing two runs over five innings. Halladay left with a 2-1 deficit, but Philly hung two runs on the Dodgers in the eighth to win the game and leave Doc with a no-decision. Halladay struck out six and walked none in the outing. He was pulled after 80 pitches, a precaution after missing two months with a strained lat muscle. If owners hadn't already activated Halladay, they should do so immediately.

Phillies activated RHP Roy Halladay from the 15-day disabled list. Halladay will return to start Tuesday night against the Dodgers. The veteran right-hander has been sidelined since late May with a lat strain, but didn't have any issues during a rehab start last week. He's expected to be on a pitch count in his first start back, but he should be active in most fantasy leagues.
