Nolasco (2-6) only last 2.2 innings Monday, giving up six runs (two earned) on six hits while walking two and striking out a pair in a loss to the Braves.
EDGE Analysis
The 34-year-old's day wasn't as disastrous as it seemed due to a Cliff Pennington error that kept four runs off his ledger. Still, the short outing raised the veteran's ERA to 4.48 on the year. Nolasco's solid 3.2 K/BB ratio has given him a bit of deep-league value, but his susceptibility to the long ball (2.5 HR/9) holds him back from being a starter to rely on in standard formats.

Nolasco (2-4) gave up five runs on seven hits -- including three homers -- and two walks while striking out six over six innings in Wednesday's loss to Tampa Bay.
EDGE Analysis
An enduring question: How does Nolasco still have a job in the major leagues after so many years of pitching so badly? He's finished with an ERA worse than the league average in each of the past three seasons and nine of 11 campaigns in his career, and yet Nolasco continues sticking around the league like a bad habit. His ERA this year is only 4.37, but there's a lot of luck baked into that, as Nolasco has been serving up homers like it's going out of style -- a whopping 16 in just 57.2 innings.

Nolasco (2-3) allowed one earned run on four hits and three walks over six innings in a loss to the Mets Friday. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
It was a solid outing for the 34-year-old, who threw his third consecutive quality start. He notably didn't allow a home run in this contest after allowing two in each of his last three starts. Nolasco lowered his ERA to 4.01 on the season, and remains a solid streaming option depending upon the matchup. He'll take the mound again on Wednesday at Tampa Bay.

Nolasco didn't factor into the decision Saturday versus the Tigers and gave up three earned runs on five hits and four walks over six innings. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran right-hander acquitted himself reasonably well but was once again done in by homers. J.D. Martinez opened the scoring on the night with a 398-foot shot in the second with one aboard, and old nemesis Justin Upton, who Nolasco has struggled with throughout his career, tagged him for a sixth-inning solo shot. The 34-year-old has now given up two homers in each of his last three starts and in three prior trips to the mound as well. His control was also an issue Saturday, with the four free passes he issued serving as a season high. Nolasco will try to get back on track in a Friday road start against the Mets.

Nolasco allowed two runs on five hits (two home runs) while walking none and striking out 10 over seven innings for a no-decision in Monday's 3-2 extra-innings loss to the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
While the season-high 10 strikeouts were nice, Nolasco has now surrendered 11 home runs on the season in his seven starts. Fourteen of the 19 runs he has allowed have come off long balls, and he hasn't allowed a round tripper in just one of his outings. The 34-year-old right-hander lowered his ERA to 4.31 in the 103-pitch outing, and he should see better results in the future if he can keep the ball out of the air as much.

Nolasco (calf) will start Monday's game against the Athletics, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Nolasco exited his previous start Wednesday against the Mariners in the fifth inning after experiencing calf cramps, but he was never in serious jeopardy of missing his next turn. The right-hander lines up for two starts this week, with his second outing set for Saturday against the Tigers.

Nolasco said that his injured calf feels fine and he expects to make his next start Monday against the Athletics, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Nolasco was hampered by calf cramps during his Wednesday start against the Mariners in which he surrendered four runs over 4.1 innings pitched. It appears that the calf issue hasn't lingered and the 34-year-old plans to be available for his upcoming start on Monday against the Athletics. Nolasco is sitting on a 4.68 ERA with six starts under his belt in 2017.

Nolasco pitched through what he described as a hamstring cramp in Wednesday's loss to the Mariners. He will be re-evaluated Thursday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hamstring cramps would help explain the poor outing from the veteran, who gave up four runs on eight hits over 4.1 innings Wednesday. Nolasco reportedly pitched through the ailment, so it doesn't appear to be a serious issue and he could still make his next turn in the rotation against the Athletics next Monday. Even if he does make the start, the 25-year-old's 4.68 ERA makes him an unappealing option.

Nolasco (2-2) gave up an earned run on three hits and two walks over 5.2 innings in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Athletics. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Nolasco saw his turn delayed by a couple of days as he worked through reported mechanical issues, and the extra time to hone his craft appeared to pay off. The 34-year-old fired 61 of 98 pitches for strikes and recorded 11 swings-and-misses overall, notching a second consecutive strong start. The veteran righty also avoided the long ball altogether for the first time in five trips to the mound this season, while the sole earned run he surrendered marked his lowest figure in that category thus far this season. Nolasco will look to keep the momentum going in a road start against the Mariners next Tuesday.

Nolasco will make his next start Thursday against the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
Nolasco was initially slated to take the ball Monday against the Blue Jays in a series finale, but manager Mike Scioscia opted to push the veteran back a few days while he "works through some mechanical issues," according to Pedro Moura of the Los Angeles Times. While the Angels' decision to delay Nolasco's next turn will probably help his chances of turning in improved performance after serving up seven homers in his first four starts of the campaign, the right-hander now misses out on a two-start week.
