Bourjos became a free agent Thursday, Matt Gelb of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Phillies picked up Bourjos off waivers last offseason. He hit .251/.292/.389 with five homers and six stolen bases in 355 at-bats while providing elite defense in right field last season. He would be a nice fit for a contending team looking for a fourth or fifth outfielder that can play all three outfield spots.

Bourjos is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Pirates, Matt Gelb of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
This marks the third straight day that Bourjos will cede the start in right field to September callup Roman Quinn. The 29-year-old spent most of 2016 as a mainstay in the Phillies outfield, but it seems like his playing time will be cut down as the Phillies evaluate more of their younger options.

Bourjos is out of the lineup for a second straight day Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Bourjos has served as the team's everyday right fielder, for the most part, this season but the Phillies may want to get a look at some of their September call-ups. The 23-year-old Roman Quinn will start in his place Monday, batting second for the Phillies.

Bourjos is not in the lineup for Sunday's matchup with the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
Although he has a subpar .252 batting average for the year, Bourjos has increased his performance at the plate recently. Over the last seven games, he's gone 8-for-27 (.296) with a home run. With Bourjos out Sunday, the Phillies will deploy an outfield of Darin Ruf, Roman Quinn, and Aaron Altherr.

Bourjos went 1-for-4 with a solo homer in Thursday's 4-1 win at Washington.
EDGE Analysis
Bourjos opened the scoring with his third-inning blast before Ryan Howard added three more runs with a homer of his own later in the frame. This was the outfielder's first time leaving the yard since Jul. 5, and just his fifth time all season. He managed a .438 slugging percentage as an MLB sophomore with the Angels in 2011, but Bourjos hasn't come close to surpassing the .400 mark since. A strong finish would get the 29-year-old there after this effort put him at .396.

Bourjos is not in the lineup Monday against the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
It will be the third straight game Bourjos is held out of the lineup, as the 29-year-old is hitting just .231 on the month and is 1-for-9 over his last four games. In his place, Philadelphia will go with an outfield alignment of Jimmy Paredes in left, Odubel Herrera in center, and Aaron Altherr in right.

Bourjos is out of the lineup Sunday against the Mets, Ryan Lawrence of the Philly Voice reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jimmy Paredes will join Odubel Herrera and Aaron Altherr in the outfield while Bourjos has the day off. Bourjos's season-long struggles at the plate have continued in recent contests as he's gone just 9-for-39 (.231) over the last 14 games.

Bourjos isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Dodgers, Ryan Lawrence of the Philly Voice reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bourjos has just one hit in 11 at-bats over the last four games, and has seen spotty playing time as a result. Aaron Altherr will shift over to right field, while Jimmy Paredes will enter the lineup in his place, playing left field and batting sixth for the Phillies.

Bourjos is out of the lineup Sunday against the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
Bourjos made back-to-back starts since his return, but will give way to Aaron Altherr on Sunday, while Jimmy Paredes mans left field. With the 29-year-old Bourjos expected to see regular playing time, the remainder of the Philadelphia outfield alignment may be a bit inconsistent the rest of the way out. Altherr, Odubel Herrera and Tyler Goeddel are all vying for two spots, provided Bourjos remains the regular right fielder after Sunday.

Bourjos is expected to get the bulk of the playing time in right field moving forward, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bourjos returned from the disabled list Friday and went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored. His return pushes Aaron Altherr to left field for now. The Phillies are expected to promote Nick Williams and Roman Quinn from the minors when rosters expand which will likely eliminate most of Bourjos' playing time unless he is traded to another club before the end of this month.
