Neshek picked up his fourth hold of the season Thursday with a scoreless two-thirds of an inning against the Marlins. He allowed one hit and struck out one.

Neshek has yet to allow a run this season and he has given up just five hits with a 6:2 K:BB in 7.2 innings. He is unlikely to enter the mix for saves given the Phillies' other options, but he should continue to be a decent source of holds this season.

Neshek pitched well in 2016, particularly against right-handed hitters, but he was also due $6.5 million on a team option for next season, so the team decided to trade him rather than buy out his contract. The Phillies were willing to exercise Neshek's option year, so they decided to pick him up for little in return. He is not the favorite to close for the Phillies, but he still figures to be one of the team's top right-handed relievers.

Neshek has allowed just one run and four hits in his last 10 appearances, spanning eight innings.

The Wisconsin native has been on a tear since the start of May, owning a 0.84 WHIP and allowing just one home run over those 26.1 innings. Despite the great stretch, Neshek has not been given a save opportunity this year.

Neshek has a 1.46 ERA in 15 relief appearances for the Astros since May 1 after compiling a 5.14 ERA in April.
