Leake (1-0) allowed two runs on seven hits, but struck out seven and walked two over 6.0 innings, capturing a win against the Red Sox on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The 31-year-old has never been a high-volume strikeout guy, but he didn't have a problem mowing down the Red Sox in his first start of the year. Boston had base runners in every inning except the fourth with Leake on the mound, but the veteran right hander gave up just one run in the second and third. In 2019, Leake is looking to improve upon his 10-10 record and 4.36 ERA, which he posted during his first full season with the Mariners last year.

Leake allowed seven runs (four earned) on nine hits over 5.1 innings in an exhibition loss to the Padres on Monday. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran right-hander gave up an abundance of hard contact, beginning with a 394-foot shot to center by Franmil Reyes that plated three runs overall. Leake was also tagged for a two-run homer by Austin Hedges and for a solo shot by Manuel Margot. The avalanche of extra-base hits against him was rounded out by doubles off the bats of Manny Machado and Wil Myers. It was a disconcerting performance overall in what was Leake's final tune-up before his regular-season debut, which is slated for Saturday against the Red Sox.

Leake allowed two earned runs on seven hits over 4.2 innings in a 9-9 Cactus League tie with the Angels on Sunday. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
Leake put together a badly needed serviceable outing after allowing five runs on eight hits over 3.2 innings in his last start against the Padres. The veteran right-hander whittled his spring ERA down to 4.73 with Sunday's effort. He continues to prep for the projected No. 3 role in the rotation during the coming season following a 10-10 mark in his first full Mariners campaign during 2018.

Leake allowed five runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out four over 3.2 innings Tuesday against the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Leake started out with two scoreless innings but faltered during the third and fourth innings, including giving up back-to-back homers to start the fourth. The 31-year-old has allowed five runs on 10 hits over 8.2 innings over three spring training starts.

Leake won't start Sunday's season finale against the Rangers, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Leake had been lined up to make his second start of the week on his normal four days' rest, but the Mariners elected to shutter him for the season after he lit up for six runs on eight hits over 1.1 innings to take the loss Tuesday against the Athletics. Roenis Elias will serve as the Mariners' starting pitcher Sunday, but Leake could still be available in relief. If manager Scott Servais elects not to use Leake this weekend, the right-hander will finish the campaign with a 10-10 record, 4.36 ERA and 1.30 WHIP and 119 strikeouts across 185.2 frames.

Leake allowed six runs on eight hits while striking out two over 1.1 innings in Tuesday's extra-innings win over the Athletics. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Leake was hit early and often, allowing three runs on four hits in the first after retiring the first two batters he faced before allowing another four hits and three runs on just one out in the second. Seattle's offense was able to rally and bail Leake out, but it was still his shortest outing of the season and matched the most runs he'd allowed in a start since April. The 30-year-old will take a 4.36 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 119:34 K:BB over 185.2 innings heading into his final start of the year, Sunday against the Rangers.

Leake (10-10) gave up five runs on six hits in a loss to the Astros on Tuesday, striking out three and walking zero in 6.1 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Leake got beat up in the third inning, giving up an RBI-single and an RBI-groundout before surrendering a two-run home run to Marwin Gonzalez. Tuesday's loss comes after a couple quality-start wins from Leake, and he still has 18 quality starts in 30 games started despite a somewhat high 4.10 ERA on the year. Opponents are hitting .274 off the right-hander and his next start will be a divisional matchup against the A's at home.

Leake (9-9) got the win Wednesday, allowing two runs -- both unearned -- on seven hits while striking out four against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
A pair of errors in the fifth inning allowed a couple of runs to score, but Leake was otherwise in total control. It was his first win since June, and it was a much needed bounce-back effort, as the 30-year-old had been tagged for 11 runs on 18 hits over his previous two starts. He's now sporting a 4.11 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 109:33 K:BB over 171 innings heading into Wednesday's start against the Padres.

Leake (illness) will start Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
After he was scratched from Tuesday's start against Houston due to an illness, Leake is slated to toe the rubber for Sunday's series finale. The 30-year-old has made 25 starts in 2018 and owns a 3.90 ERA and 1.26 WHIP with 96 strikeouts through 154.2 frames.
