FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that the Rangers are not trying to re-acquire Michael Young. Young is reportedly willing to waive his no-trade clause to come back to Texas, but the franchise's all-time hit leader isn't on their radar at the moment. The 36-year-old is also willing to go to the Red Sox or Yankees, but the Phillies haven't found any common ground on a deal yet. It's possible they'll wait until August.

Mark Feinsand of the New York Daily News reports that Michael Young would accept a trade to the Yankees. While it was previously believed Young would only accept a trade back to the Rangers, we now have reports saying he's willing to waive his no-trade clause to go to Boston and New York. The 36-year-old would make plenty of sense for either team. Still, the Phillies are unlikely to get a major piece in return.

FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that Michael Young is willing to waive his no-trade clause to go to the Red Sox. We heard yesterday that Young was only willing to return to the Rangers, but he has apparently had a change of heart. The Phillies are motivated to give Cody Asche a chance at their starting third base job, so a deal could come together quickly.

The Boston Globe's Nick Cafardo hears that the Red Sox will not be getting Michael Young "for now." The Red Sox need a new third baseman after Jose Iglesias was traded, but the plan at this time is to promote either Will Middlebrooks or Xander Bogaerts. Of course, a deal with the Phillies for Young could still come together before the deadline.

Michael Young went 2-for-4 with a home run in the Phillies' 7-3 win over the Giants on Tuesday. Young has been at the center of trade rumors in recent days, and in what may have been his final game in a Phillies uniform he launched his eighth homer of the season. He also drove in two runs and scored twice. The 36-year-old has been rumored to be coveted by the Red Sox among others. If he is dealt before Wednesday's 4 p.m. ET deadline, he'll carry a .279 batting average with him to his new club.

According to ESPN's Jayson Stark, Michael Young will consider destinations other than Texas. FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reported on Tuesday afternoon that Young would only approve a trade back to the Rangers, but Stark says now that Young is open to other possibilities and considers Boston his second choice. Young, 36, is batting .277/.342/.402 with seven homers and 32 RBI in 99 games this season for the Phillies.

FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that Michael Young will only approve a trade to the Rangers. Young has a full-no trade clause, so he can control his destiny. The Red Sox and Yankees are among the teams reportedly interested in the 36-year-old, but he's apparently only willing to consider a return to Texas. The Phillies are planning to call up prospect third baseman Cody Asche, so it appears that there will be some resolution in the next 24 hours or so.

ESPN's Buster Olney reports that the Phillies have reached out to other teams to let them know Michael Young and others are available via trade. General manager Ruben Amaro has been forced to waive the white flag after his Phillies dropped their seventh straight game Saturday. It's obviously the right move, as they have no chance to catch the Braves or become real contenders for a Wild Card berth. Olney notes that Cliff Lee's name was not included among the list of players Amaro put on the block. Young has drawn interest from the Yankees, the Red Sox and Rangers, though a reunion in Texas reportedly won't happen.

A Rangers trade for Michael Young is "not going to happen," according to T.R. Sullivan of MLB.com. Sullivan said the Rangers are exploring almost all their possibilities for trades leading up to the deadline, but a deal for the former Ranger isn't one of them. Young's name has also been mentioned in trade rumors with the Yankees and Red Sox. The third baseman is hitting .278/.344/.404 this season for Philadelphia.

Michael Young was responsible for the Phillies' offensive output, driving home their lone run in Friday's loss to the Tigers. Young finished the night 1-for-3 and also walked. He's done a nice job hitting atop the Phillies lineup, hitting .278/.344/.404 on the year with seven homers and 32 RBI. Young is becoming an increasingly popular name being discussed on the trade front, and could be wearing a new uniform at this time next week.
